The first one, John Hammond (the old man) gives instructions to Ellie Sattler (the woman) on how to recover the electricity in the park by telephone. The second example shows how the main character called Alan Grant tells the children carefully to cross out the fence and they obey. There are many cases of ellipsis in these examples.

Lisa shouts at him because she notices what is going on. While the operation is being carried out, Dr. Nick relates what he's doing.
We can notice his lack of rigor when he uses the term THIS SOMETHING  instead of using the specific term to refer to the things he is manipulating. This is a clear example of vague language .
