<title>Zorbing (a ball game) originated in New Zealand in the 1990s. Two friends wanted to find a way to walk on water and set out to create a large floating ball that a person could enter and stand on top of the water without sinking.</title>

<title>When we are on the ball we must maintain the posture and for this it is necessary that we keep the muscles in tension. This, together with the centrifugal effect that the ball develops when it spins, will help us tone our muscles, since we must use them to overcome the force that is exerted with the spin. While we carry out the activity we embark on something very intense that will make us disconnect from the routine and put an end to the stress and adrenaline that we have left over. This makes zorbing an activity that is not only beneficial for the body, but also helps us clear our minds and get away from stress for a while. Along with this, we must not forget that the fact of moving the ball, and moving with it, is also a good aerobic exercise that we cannot ignore and that will help us maintain good blood circulation while burning calories and training the muscles.</title>

<title>In June 2009, a teacher died (and a pupil was severely injured) in the Czech Republic while zorbing. In January 2013 at a ski resort in Dombay, Russia, a man died from a broken neck, and another was badly injured when the Zorb he was in rolled out of control down a mountain, hitting rocks and eventually coming to a stop a kilometre away on a frozen lake. The incident was caught on camera and uploaded to the Internet. After the incident made international headlines, Russian authorities called for tougher safety laws.</title>
