I for one accept that South African school are not prepared for web based learning, yes they attempted to give understudies information for contemplating on the web yet that isn't sufficient and generally the greater part of understudies are living in helpless networks where system is a hindrance to their investigations, I think this internet picking up thing is just compelling to the individuals who live in great condition conditions. The are understudies whom live in provincial territories where they can not acccess anything like Internet bistro and some don't have PCs, those understudies are deserted. The pastor of training has reported that they will give nsfas and Funza understudies contraptions/gadgets however online class are proceeding as though understudies have gadgets. It appears as though they have overlooked understudies who are supported by any stretch of the imagination

Luniko Lolwana

As it stands with the contact classes we are barely making it, We can barely survive. And with the drought of resources and ever low budget and corrupt management of the DBE I doubt we will ever be ready for such a swift action any time soon.
I therefore stand and say we are not ready and being at that point of not being ready we should therefore consider all the after effects that there will be for every disadvantaged learner of the Department of Basic Education. Also taking into consideration the income possibilities and dire conditions they live under. Or better yet the unfavorable conditions they live under. The Department already have life threatening school buildings that needs nothing but embellishment and a start from scratch building. It is impossible for this government which fails at providing the daily contact classes material to schools in the Eastern Cape and other Public schools in other Provinces. And I do not expect them for once to be able to provide material that is costly to take on the bull by it's horn, online education.

This country is not ready! The private sector might be, but the ordinary South Africans are not!

Asanele Jezile
