For the future I hope to be able to incorporate some of the tools we have experienced in Social Studies. I create flip-charts and download academic games to their iPads. I allow them to use the Promethean board to draw, write, and play. I still feel that technology advances faster than me learning the new stuff. I also try to get parent involved in the same technology teaching them how to use TEAMS and ZOOM for conferences and workshops. But it is sill difficult for some families to accept that technology is now part of our lives. I have music and movement where I use YouTube for videos, Remind for communication, cellphone texting and calls to contact families, TikTok for fun, and SXM for music environment. My pre-k students do their daily attendance on the board, moving and identifying their names. In the future, I would like to introduce and practice more academic technology vocabulary and strategies for them to be familiar with other applications, platforms, and different programs. I am starting to use the ELMO projector more often to deliver lessons.I want my students to be familiar with the mouse because they have some testing in kinder where they use a computer to complete the test. I used a video from the Pixar movie Coco in order for students to see how Coco honors the day of the dead throughout the movie. I think this was a great video that allowed students to see the value of traditions from other cultures.

After students learned about the five senses, we did a scavenger hunt using our senses. It was so much fun!
