We will gather for an hour of silence as an act of grief for those dying because of climate chaos and to pray that Barclays stops funding climate breakdown. As the first Hungarian higher-education research college dedicated to creation care -

The event focuses on the protection of groundwater and the safeguarding of built heritage, with special attention to the springs and water systems connected to Buda Castle. Participants will explore how the Ottoman period reshaped and utilised the Buda springs, the construction of the famous Turkish baths, and the lasting traces these left on the water systems dating back to the era of King Matthias. Historical water-extraction methods and their relationship to today’s groundwater resources will also be examined.

Key topics include:

• the history and present condition of the spring-water system linked to the Castle,

• the architectural and hydrological heritage of Ottoman-era baths, springs and aqueducts,

• current challenges and opportunities in groundwater protection,

• and how lessons from the past can inform sustainable water management today.

Particular attention will be paid to the legal framework: what protection rules currently apply to the springs associated with Buda Castle, how cultural-heritage protection can be reconciled with sustainable water use, and what possibilities exist for preserving and intelligently utilising the historical water system.

The workshop is ideal for anyone interested in history, hydrology, architectural history, law or environmental protection – professionals, researchers, students and engaged members of the public alike.

The ‘Jubilee Garden Project’ is an invitation to use physical space to heal, transform and renew. The project has three patrons to help us to engage in the rebuilding of our relationship with God, with neighbours and with the earth;

Mary, Martha and Lazarus from John 11-12. These three siblings from the town of Bethany were among Jesus’ closest friends and will represent the three theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity. To be a ‘Jubilee Garden’, each patron and their virtue must be enacted in the garden as a way of rebuilding communion with God, with our neighbour, and with the earth. In so doing, we also rebuild trust in ourselves. The care of the garden becomes a physical work, representational of the care needed for our community, whilst also inspiring our own faith journey.

Join us in celebration of the launch of the project in partnership with ‘The God Who Speaks’, of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

I have some ideas for the Season of Creation which will start from September to October 2026.

The plan is to plant trees and provide environmental education within the Churches, Schools and Hospitals,my focus will be around the Community of Kilimanjaro-specifically Kilema hospital areas.

GOALS;-

1) Hospital nursery trees.

Grow tree seeds where by when the Pregnant mothers come to the hospital (Maternity) they will be given one tree to plant at their home place in remembrance of their child.

2) Churches.

I will raise awareness in churches concerning the environment conservation for betterment of our society and the World in general.

3) Schools.

My work plan is to visit nearest schools both primary and secondary to give and spread the knowledge on how to plant trees and the importance of environmental conservation.

1) I have attached my certificate of Laudato Si Movement.

2) I will provide a feedback report and photos.

The mass will be animated by the youth, would are using the mass as a prelude to St Michael's Church, Ipoh youth camp. About 50 youth will be attending the 2 day camp.

The youth camp organizers, have also included a " cyberbulling: how to navigaye it" talk by a police officer on Sunday.

The Creation mass culminates two major efforts by the Creation Justice Ministry of St Michael's Church Ipoh, who planted 31 Polyalthia Longifolia trees in the church grounds and adjacent catholic school compound . The plan is to plant another 18 trees. The purpose of this exercise to to green the surrounding church and school compound as the church and school are in the middle of Ipoh City.

The other effort was launching an internal pledge by church leaders on #zerowaste. What needs to be done by organizers before, during and after events in the church. How to dispose waste ethically and friendly to the environment.

Season of Creation at St Anne's

We're spending September giving thanks for the created world and praying for it, starting with the Feast of Creation in Christ and closing with a Pet Blessing on the Feast of St Francis. We close the season with a Pet Blessing for the Feast of St Francis. All pets welcome, and so are you.

The 800th Jubilee Project of St. Francis of Assisi is a special environmental conservation initiative managed and coordinated by the St. Francis of Assisi Choir of Pugu Parish.

The project focuses on planting and caring for Jubilee trees as a lasting symbol of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for creation and commitment to environmental conservation.

The project will culminate in a major Jubilee Conference on 25 October 2026, bringing together the Church, businesses, institutions, community members and environmental stakeholders.

We invite investors and corporate partners to support this meaningful initiative by investing in environmental conservation and creating a lasting legacy for future generations.

The purpose of these daily devotions is to open our eyes to some of the “created ones” with whom we share common ground, to awaken our hearts to their needs, and to take new steps toward living together in peace. 

How do they work?

Each day of the 2026 Season of Creation (September 1 - October 4) participants will receive a Daily Devotion via email bringing to light a different keystone species in our Province One EcoRegion.  The Devotions will include a photo, a brief description, thoughts on how the species reflects our image of God, and a closing prayer.  The Devotions will be prepared by Episcopalians from around Province One.

Join the Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor Synodal Session, an opportunity to ensure that these cries, in the context of our local ministry and works, are heard. All participants will share how they hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. Afterwards, we will celebrate the Season of Creation at Mass!

Join us for the Canticle of Creation Pilgrimage in honor of the Franciscan Jubilee Year and celebrated on the Feast of St. Francis! Take the opportunity to deepen your faith and care for God’s creation as a parish community through meaningful prayer, reflection, and engaging activities at the Catholic Ecology Center (CEC). Includes Mass on-site with Fr. Patrick Behling, who is serving as the pilgrimage chaplain.

This pilgrimage is designed to engage everyone- individuals and families. Adults of all ages, teens, and families with young children. (Please note: children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.)

The CEC is an official pilgrimage site for the Jubilee Year and this pilgrimage will include all of the necessary components to receive the Jubilee Plenary Indulgence.(What are indulgences?)

Join us during the Season of Creation for a lively and thought-provoking conversation via Zoom about Robert Macfarlane’s Is a River Alive?, a powerful exploration of rivers, the communities connected to them and the growing movement to recognize the natural world in new ways.

Our conversation will focus especially on water as a sacred gift. We’ll also reflect on the global water crisis, our shared responsibility to protect this precious resource and the call of Laudato Si’ to recognize access to safe drinking water as a basic and universal human right and a matter of justice.

Over the years, I have invited the Laudato Si’ community into a deeper Eucharistic spirituality. I now offer a seven-part Eucharistic Ecological Spirituality prayer-reflection series through contemplative art — as a gift to call the community into deeper communion in Christ, the Bread broken for the life of the world, and toward concrete personal and community conversion.

I respectfully ask the Laudato Si’ Executive Committee, Ecumenical Steering Committee, and relevant teams to review this series. I would be grateful for concrete feedback on how these reflections may serve the Season of Creation, the Laudato Si’ community, and the mission of integral human development.

As Holy Father Pope Leo XIV invites us to begin the Season of Creation with “contemplation, conversion, and renewed hearts", I offer these reflections:

1. Creation as Gift

2. Wounded City, Faithful Presence

3. Everything Is Connected

4. Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor

5. Conversion of Heart

6. External Dressing for Internal Bleeding

7. Raising to Communion

May this journey lead us beyond contemplation alone toward conversion, communion, and concrete action: returning to God, receiving Christ in the Eucharist, and becoming what we receive — a people broken and poured out for the healing of our common home.

Praise God for the conversions that make Christ visible among us.

Blessed Season of Creation!

To bring the ecumenical dimension into our annual celebration, we upgraded the Walk for Creation to an ecumenical event in 2023.

After 3 years of holding an Ecumenical Walk for Creation, we are inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical letter, Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home, to upgrade it again to an interfaith gathering. Laudato Si’ 13 and 14 remind us of our common vocation to take care of Earth, our Common Home, regardless of our religions and faith traditions:

“The urgent challenge to protect our common home includes a concern to bring the whole human family together to seek a sustainable and integral development, for we know that things can change. The Creator does not abandon us; he never forsakes his loving plan or repents of having created us. Humanity still has the ability to work together in building our common home.”   ~ Laudato Si’ 13

“I urgently appeal, then, for a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet.We need a conversation which includes everyone, since the environmental challenge we are undergoing, and its human roots, concern and affect us all.”   ~ Laudato Si’ 14

To highlight the theme of this year’s celebration of the Season of Creation, “Living Water”, we thought of having our First Interfaith Walk for Creation (in the National Capital Region) in the beautiful city of Pasig to symbolically express our commitment to care for our Rivers and Oceans and all bodies of water around the world, particularly in the Philippines, by honoring Pasig River, including Marikina River and San Juan River which are its tributaries and Laguna de Bay and Manila Bay which Pasig River connects to each other. We will hold this event on September 5, 2026, at 5:00 - 9:00AM.

The Program of Activities will be as follows:

5:00 – 5:30 AM   Assembly/Registration

5:30 – 6:30          Part I: Walk for Creation

-        We request everyone to bring a small glass bottle filled with water from your home (tap water) or from a body of water in your area (sea, river, creek, etc.). We will use all the water brought by the participants in the liturgy.

-        We have invited Mayor Vico Sotto to deliver a short message to welcome the participants before we begin the Walk.

6:30 – 7:00     Part II: Breakfast Fellowship

(We invite everyone to bring food and drinks to share with one another.)

7:00 – 8:00      Part III: Interfaith Program

-        Faith Leaders will share on the significance of water in their faith traditions and express their prayer commitments

-        Creation Songs, Poetry and Dances

Note: Parts I, II and III will be held at Maybunga Rainforest Park

8:00 – 9:00      Part IV: Symbolic Act of Commitment of Organizers, Interfaith Leaders and  Pasig Local Government Unit to Care for the Living Waters (i.e. our Sister Rivers/Oceans)  

-        Floating of Flowers at Maybunga Ferry Station

Partenza ore 9,00 dalla Parrocchia di San Bernardo. Parcheggi in zona. Si consiglia di indossare pantaloni lunghi e portare acqua. Nel caso di erba troppo alta - in particolare sull'argine est del torrente - il percorso potrebbe subire variazioni su strada Moletolo.

Camminare lungo l'anello del torrente Parma, offre un'esperienza di trekking urbano e naturalistico ideale per staccare la spina immergendosi nel verde senza allontanarsi dal centro città, unendo l'attività fisica alla scoperta di scorci suggestivi e inediti del torrente.

Un modo fantastico per mantenersi in forma e fare nuove amicizie, sentendosi parte di una comunità che cercando di prendersi cura del Creato vuole essere un segno di speranza.

La passeggiata è inserita nel progetto di rete promosso dalla @ Cooperativa Sociale ECOLE (Green Lab coltivare comunità a San Leonardo) sostenuto da Comitato Territoriale Iren e Fondazione Monteparma con il Patrocinio di Città di Parma.

In collaborazione con Centro Etica Ambientale Parma

Attendees are invited to bring a small jar of water from a local source, even from their rain barrel, to the Service. The water will be blessed with our communal prayers and can be taken back and poured into the water source or used to water flowers or a garden.

As part of the Service, the Quad Cities Chapter of the Sierra Club, Eagle View Group, will give a short reflection on their "Water Sentinels" Quad City Program. The Water Sentinels Program recruits and trains activists in the Quad Cities to take regular water samples from the Rock River watershed.

All are welcome. Join us in prayer.
After the Service, attendees are invited to stay for coffee, tea and conversation in the Bent House Retreat Center at St. Mary Monastery.
