The music we hear as the chase goes on is really loud, in contrast with the quiet ending of the previous scene. Because of the change, the audience is overwhelmed by the change, and they can tell that the atmosphere is a lot more different. There's also the sound effect of the tyres screeching as the chase goes on. This makes the audience aware that this is quite a serious chase, and that it can be quite dangerous because of how fast they are going. As the chase goes on, we see a close up of Romeo's face, screaming as he chases Tybalt. This shows the audience that he's enraged at Tybalt for his actions. This scene is shocking because of how quick the actions happen. We watch in slow motion, as we see the objects within the car ferociously bang and clatter around. This is shocking and leaves the audience full of anticipation, as it shows Tybalt, an important character throughout the film, on the verge of death. We hear sound effects of said objects, making shockingly ear-piercing and deafeningly loud noises- furthering the shock within the viewers. We see Tybalt's gun skid from out-under the commotion, toward the foreground. A medium shot shows both Tybalt and the crazed Romeo frantically run toward the gun. This creates even more shock as the audience does not know what the outcome will be- and both lives are on the line. Romeo is driven by revenge for his best friend, Meructio, while Tybalt is forced to endure his injuries from the crash, for the will to live. Tybalt has always been portrayed as both powerful and confident throughout the flim, so seeing him in such a weak state is incredibly shocking. A close-up shows Tybalt snatching the gun before Romeo does, making the shock within the audience reach the climax. This sequence is completely full of shock, using creative and effective film techniques to do so. First we hear sound effects of the gun shoots and screaming. Causes the audience to be surprised because Romeo has stayed out of the family business until now. Next we see quick cuts as Romeo takes the final bullet. the cut is from Tybalt to Juliet as romeo fires the last bullet.
