In order to understand the particular importance of Pabllo Vittar, first you have to understand where she comes from. When the singer, songwriter, and drag queen exploded onto the scene in 2014, a fully formed star already in short shorts and perfect contouring, nailing one of Whitney Houston’s hardest solos on local TV, Brazil was a dangerous place to identify as LGBTQ, but there was a sense that progress was just around the corner. The country legalized same-sex marriage in 2013, and there had been a marked push for government recognition of LGBTQ rights: New crisis centers had been built, and new public health programs instigated for trans people.
https://www.vogue.com/article/pabllo-vittar-pop-star

Queen, “Don’t Stop Me Now” (1978)

Queen were on a pretty amazing run by the time their 1978 album Jazz came around. They'd gone from tiny clubs to stadiums during the past four runs, and every single song they released seemed to fly up the charts. "Don't Stop Me Now," the lead single from the LP featuring the group's trademark multi-tracked harmonies, didn't quite live up to expectations, peaking at Number 86 in America. It was, however, a Top 10 hit in England. Time has also been very kind to it and it's widely seen now as one of the group's best works.

The famous Brazilian singer and actress, born in Portugal, became one of the most celebrated gay icons of the twentieth century. With all its individualism and visual exaggeration, achieved through the use of high platform sandals, flashy turban, round skirts, charged makeup and elaborate gestures, it has become a reference for drag queens from around the world. Brazilian example of the strong relationship between the homosexual public and Carmen Miranda was the emergence in 1984, in Rio de Janeiro, of the Carmen Miranda Band, a predominantly gay carnival group dedicated to praising the figure of the singer.

Since the beginning of her career in the 1980s, Madonna has been highly worshiped by homosexual communities for her performances, style, dance, and support for discrimination. One of the most famous examples in her career is the music video for the song Vogue, in which Madonna and her dancers perform choreographies and poses inspired by homosexual performances in clubs and venues in New York. In addition to being one of his greatest classics, Vogue is one of the greatest gay anthems of the 1990s and of all time. Other Madonna songs also stand out among homosexual audiences, such as "Like a Virgin," "Papa Don't Preach," "Express Yourself," "Sorry," and "Girl Gone Wild."
