Since the economy is on the board of global crisis nowadays many people from developing countries are concerned about their ability to feed themselves in the medium term. It is impossible to name their fears unreasonable, however, according to the statistics, only 3% of the population will have to be below the poverty because of the macroeconomic situation. Since nobody is willing to become part of this doleful statistic, people are trying to use all sources to maintain their previous living standards.

While companies often start the downsizing process to avoid bankruptcy, citizens are eager to find well-paid jobs to create a financial cushion. In such conditions, illegal formations become more attractive than ever. Over the half-year period from march to august of 2022 the quantity of reported economic crimes of moderate severity in most Russian states increased more than twice.

Another way to maintain a stable existence is to use the so-called household. Simply put, in times of crisis, people begin to rely more on the products of the earth, to which they are guaranteed to have access. This is the most critical and essential part of the informal economy. Although it is impossible to calculate the total product of this sector of the economy as it is done with national products, there is a way to evaluate it in the scientific community. Statistically, the size of the informal economy is roughly estimated by comparing the forecasted statistics of the standard of living with the actual one obtained. It is assumed that the difference is not prediction errors, but the product (including losses) of those sectors that the national regulator does not control. It is precisely the fact that people tried to create food reserves for themselves during the summer period of 2022 that explains the relatively small drop in the level of contentment (from 7 to 10% in different regions), taking into account the severity of negative factors.

Summing up, it must be said that there is no difference whether a person is in the place of a scientist or a layman in a macroeconomic crisis. Regardless of the purpose: to preserve well-being or to collect reliable statistics, agents will have to use the same tools.

This is a start-up formed by some academics with PhD working in pharmacological sphere. The doctors have brilliant background and they are absolute leaders in their field. The company trying to tackle with the problem of Alzheimer’s disease. There are no special cancer for it nowadays, but these start-up has showcased concept of drug, which slows progression of Alzheimer’s by slowing production of beta-amyloid, a protein associated with the disease, consequently, more research may lead to better results.

SWOT results.

People have more chances be affected with Alzheimer’s disease with ages, and as is known word population becoming ageing with colossal speed especially in developed countries. People ready to pay any amount of money to save their relatives from progressing disease.

Company can use strategy of selling shares to a large pharmacy company. It will be easy if phase 3 will be reached which implies smash testing on animals.

There are a lot of barriers to entry in this field, but start-up’s CEO and CFO are external hires, which means it is a lot of easier for them to start business as soon as possible. World need drug against Alzheimer’s disease, and their medicine has successfully passed trials and look very promising that is why they have already find some funding.

But, unfortunately, there are two weaknesses. First, start-up is running out of cash, because they have working capital just for three more months due to unexpected high cost of research work. Second, company have no other drugs in pipeline, because all of their power now in the main product.

The opportunities here are good. Firstly, there are a little companies in this area, and only ten percent of them have the same experience, professionalism and goals like our target, that is why they have big chances to capture the market in case of successful experiments with their drugs. Secondly, as it was said before, due to increasing levels of medicine and medical service, now we have a clear picture of an Ageing population and therefore we have high demand for this drug

The main threat that other labs doing the same researcher and can capture the market before start-up using different experimental methods. Probability of this case is not very high, but we need to take it into account in our business planning.

My recommendation is that we definitely should invest in the company at this stage. The reward is stupendously good.

Tarynin Timofey

The youth policy of Kamchatka Territory

Introduction
Regional policy is a rather difficult topic to study. Many aspects of its successful implementation depend on the federal regulations. The study was conducted on the youth policy of the Kamchatka Territory in September of this year. The main goal was to identify the causes of the outflow of young people and to develop recommendations to prevent a further decline in the number of young people. This report will review the SWOT-analysis of the Kamchatka Territory from the perspective of prospects for young people.

Strengths

Among the strengths are the uniqueness of nature, as well as the tourist attractiveness for the region. In addition, developing volunteerism allows to build a youth community by promoting volunteerism as a channel for common activities. It is worth noting that these characteristics are certainly not decisive among the causes of outflow, so their effectiveness cannot guarantee complete success. As noted above, the support of the federal center is necessary for the integrated development of the region and increasing attractiveness against the background of capital cities.

Weaknesses

Speaking of weaknesses, it is impossible not to note the absence of places for leisure, comfortable urban infrastructure and, of course, the remoteness of the region from the central part of Russia. These weaknesses are difficult to solve and claim only to be a constant fact, so it should be understood that further work should be carried out to increase the attractiveness and comfort of the region for living and, most importantly, development for young people.

Opportunities

Opportunities in this case are the main channel for preventing the outflow of young people. First of all, it is necessary to increase the involvement of young people in the development of the region, expand the variety of activities, as well as support initiatives at the youth level. At the moment, work is actively underway to popularize National projects and projects of more local significance that can be supported by the administration. For example, creating a brand of the region by popularizing merch, supporting eco-volunteering and holding events of a musical and sporting nature.

Threats

Finally, among the threats, one can designate a "migrant mentality", when young people are sure in advance that they will leave the region and do not plan their life in Kamchatka. In addition, the spread of such negative practices as vandalism, alcoholism and drug addiction are also threats on a nationwide scale. It is necessary to raise the culture and awareness of the danger of these phenomena for society.

Conclusion

To sum up, it can be claimed that the study of youth policy is a laborious work, since recommendations for solving problems sometimes do not depend on specific actors, but are public attitudes. The study only indicates points of growth and threats to their general reflection.

Bereznyakovskaya Polina

Customer journey map: basic aspects.

Introduction

The customer journey is multi-faceted and complex thing, and many entrepreneurs often underestimate the importance of analyzing each point and stage (including the preparatory stage) at which the customer comes into contact with the service. This report aims to formulate the basic aspects of the customer journey map (CJM), its key functions and steps of implementing such a tool.

What is a CJM?

This is the visualization of all points of contact between the customer and the company, from the moment when he has a need and searches for its solution, all the way to the purchase and tnen -- becoming a regular customer.

Customer Journey Map (CJM) is only the first step in creating a customer experience management system, but it is an important one, because it forms the basis for further system building.

Value

As the foundation for building a comprehensive customer experience management system, Customer Journey Map can help in areas such as:

Sales optimization: improving the experience at each touch point can increase conversion rates and shorten the sales cycle.

Customer Retention: detailed understanding and improvement of the customer experience of the product and service impacts loyalty and repeat purchase rates.

Process optimization: CJM research often reveals inefficiencies in cross-functional processes and "gray areas" where responsibility is blurred across departments (which can cause problems).

Departmental buy-in: CJM enables all functions and levels of employees to understand how customer interactions are structured and how their actions impact the customer experience.

Consistency: CJM determines how interactions throughout the Customer Journey (between units and communication channels) are handled in a consistent manner.

3 steps to build

Preparation: set goals for the development of the map, define the scope of the project, and assess the company's readiness for the project.

Development: set lifecycle stages, add layers of information, build and validate the map.

Usage: we move from the current state to the target state, conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking, update and supplement the map, develop a KPI system based on it.

Conclusion

Of course, the formulation of the main aspects of the customer journey map is only the beginning of the work with the user. As a rule, building a CJM consists of 7-10 main stages, and requires both careful sampling of respondents, careful thinking of every service component both offline and online, as well as considerable time and money.
Anyway, summing up, it's worth saying that cjm is an important element of any business, which requires a relatively frequent revision and improvement, if a company wants to stay afloat and speak to customers in their language.

Makarenko Alena

The 4 Ps of marketing — you’ve probably heard about them from a friend, a textbook, or even at school. I know it sounds like a boring topic that’s common sense, but there is more to it than meets the eye. And no, it’s not just for large companies. The smaller you are, the more important for you it is to leverage the 4 Ps of marketing.

What Are The 4 Ps of Marketing?

The 4 Ps of marketing is a marketing is a concept that summarizes the four basic pillars of any marketing strategy.

The four Ps of marketing are:

Product: What you sell. Could be a physical good, services, consulting, etc.

Price: How much do you charge and how does that impact how your customers view your brand?

Place: Where do you promote your product or service? Where do your ideal customers go to find information about your industry?

Promotion: How do your customers find out about you? What strategies do you use, and are they effective?

It sounds simple and it really is. The harder part is implementing the 4ps of marketing, which we will get into in the next sections. The theory behind the 4 Ps of marketing is that covering all 4 Ps will result in higher sales.
The origin of the concept, also known as marketing mix, goes back to 1960 when McCarthy introduced it in his book “Basic Marketing” : A Managerial Approach.

The First P of Marketing: Product

The product is what the company sells.

It might be a product like a soft drink in the beverage industry or dresses in a clothing store.
In the 4 Ps strategy, this means understanding what your offer needs in order to stand apart from competitors and win over customers.

How to Create an Amazing Product Your Customers Love

What’s the biggest problem I can help you solve? This will give you an idea of what your product needs to do.

What’s your favorite marketing product and why? You’ll want to replace the word “marketing” with whatever industry you are in… this question gives you an idea about who your competition is and what they are doing right.

Why did you come here today? This will tell you why people come to your site and what they are looking for.

How can we make our product better? This is great if you already have a product up as you will get real feedback.

What don’t you like about COMPETITOR ABC? Replace competitor ABC with your competition’s name… this question tells you where there is an opportunity.

The Second P of Marketing: Price

Price is simple, it refers to how much you charge for your product (or service).

Although it’s simple to understand, it’s really hard to come up with the “right” price. The one that doesn’t just drive the most amount of sales but also drives the most profit.

The Third P of Marketing: Place

“Place” is another word for location.

As they say in marketing, it’s all about location, location, location.

Here are some simple questions to ask yourself so you can find the right place.

Where is your customer?

Which outlets (online and offline) sell your product?

Which distribution channels are currently working for you?

Do you sell directly to businesses or consumers?

Do you sell directly to your end customer or do you have to go through middlemen?

Where are your competitors?

The Fourth P of Marketing:Promotion

Once you’ve optimized the previous three Ps of marketing, it’s time to promote your offer.

To be clear, when I talk about promotion, I am not just talking about getting your brand out there. I am talking about generating revenue.

Conclusion

The 4 Ps of marketing may seem boring, but they are essential to creating a successful marketing plan.

Without them, you can’t differentiate yourself from the competition.

No one cares for another me-too company.

Introduction

Occasionally, some companies come to a point when their application (for example, web-service backend) becomes very popular and it is no longer able to handle such a high load.

Background

Until recently, almost all software products were created in "monolith" architecture. The only option, to increase the throughput of the app, was to "throw" more resources into the server which is running the app. Besides, it was very expensive, there was a threshold up to which the system could be upgraded.

However, nowadays, solutions have been developed to solve this problem. Only the most popular and easiest among them are presented next.

Solutions

- Write applications with a «microservice» architecture in mind, so each service could be easily scaled on demand, for example, by using "Kubernetes".

- Build applications on top of platforms that provide backend as a service. These platforms, like Google’s "Firebase", usually take care of the scalability of an app themselves.

Conclusion

In order to promptly respond to changes in the usage demand of an application, companies should engage one of the listed solutions in their app.

Expert in everything,
Evgeny Evseev

Helping girls deal with unwanted sexual attention

Introduction

This morning I saw an Instagram post determined to expose a man, who harassed quite a few girls. He is a CEO of an online school and a teacher. The post included 10 stories of young girls. They used to go to school when experienced sexual harassment from an older man. This whole situation is horrible and absurd, but what made me shocked is that they’ve been silent for 3-5 years.

Background

What is a sexual harassment? It can be defined as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other verbal or physical acts of a sexual nature.

One of the main problems is that girls, teenagers and young women cannot distinguish whether they are assaulted or not, they are afraid to say no, feel guilt and shame for what has happened to them. It is undeniable that some of these problems could be avoided if only parents managed them while bringing up their daughters.

What can parents do?

· Teach girls what they can do and say when their boundaries are not respected: “I don’t like that and I want you to stop”, “I’m not interested”, “I’m not comfortable doing that”.

· Make them understand that nobody can touch them without their permission, whether it is a “friendly” arm around her neck or unwanted kiss.

· Make “no” a comfortable, familiar word in their daily life.

· Do not message them to be nice and “user-friendly” to be liked, but show your daughters that anyone worthy of their attention should respect their feelings, even you.

· The last, but never the least, make them feel okay to tell you if anything is happening, be there for them when needed, respect their feelings and help to overcome their fears.

Conclusion

Assaults of any type are inappropriate, especially sexual, which encroach human basic need in safety. Obviously, it is utopic to believe this phenomenon can utterly vanish, therefore make sure you are protected and well aware of your rights.

P.S. In this report I talk about assaults girls experience, but I must mention that men sometimes face sexual harassment too.

Sabina Kasaeva

Daniil Shatravka

Investing money in the Russian video games industry.

Introduction.

The following report represents the main results of the Investment department due to the newly economical situation on the Russian IT market.

The aim of the report is to find new spheres for investment among Russian young companies with the biggest potential.

Findings

Firstly, after leaving big international games companies such as EA, Microsoft, Sony, Russian gamers have difficulty with buying new games on the Internet or in distributional markets. In this regard, VK Group, which is one of the biggest Russian IT companies, started promoting their own online shop for video games, where customers can buy products in the most convenient way.

Secondly, latest video games releases from western companies show a decline in quality, average users score is 6 (according to Metacritic portal), which is not great for the games with a big budget. However, Russian and Japanese video games have an average score of 8. Russian games have a big potential to replace the US and European games from the leader position on the market due to better quality.

Conclusion

In conclusion, investing in Russian video games companies can pay off big time.

Recommendation

It is highly recommended to find a small company which has a game in development and make an investment in return of share from the sales.

Time management in companies

Introduction

The concept of time management includes all planning technologies that are used by an employee to improve the efficiency of working time. However, the use of time management is not obligatory.

Time tracker reports sometimes present disappointing results of employers. That is why today there are more and more companies that realize the need for centralized corporate implementation of time management technologies.

The necessity of time management technologies

The necessity of a corporate implementation of time management is conditioned by the following reasons:

- The growing movement of changes in the economic environment requires delegation of authority to employees, their quick decisions and independent work planning;

- Intangible assets of companies are becoming more and more valuable. The efficiency of managers and other employees becomes the most important factor of the company's success;

- Most companies nowadays often change the direction of their development. Employees should be flexible to changes and have a high level of self-control.

Time management training

The first step to having effective and highly organized employees is to teach them. But regular training will not give you satisfactory results. Your task is to conduct a preliminary analysis of the effectiveness of each employee. Don't be afraid to show the time tracker monitoring data to employees. Some of them are sure that they have high performance indicators. But the time tracker will help you to prove that this is not quite correct. After the training, your task will be to set a testing period during which employees will try to do as much as possible to be more effective using basic time management strategies. The time tracking system will show your employees that they can work more efficiently and spend less time on it.

Diagnostics of time management skills

Not only time tracker reports can show the progress after training. There’s a special analysis of the time management skills employees got.

There are three levels of competence that every employee should have:

- Personal time management;

- Time management in the team;

- Corporate time management.

Every employee fills up a form with key questions that will help to understand what skills he has acquired after training. The analysis of all the questionnaires will show what problems and weaknesses your staff has at each level of competence. Of course, the time tracker can help you once again to monitor the effectiveness of each employee and show the dynamics of the development of time management competence among employees.

Conclusion

Summing up, the cost-effectiveness of implementing time management is very important, since the profitability of a company depends only on the effectiveness of personnel. The learning outcomes can be evident in the time tracker report, which includes data on the personal effectiveness of the employee. Time management strategies will help your employees to improve their efficiency and bring more profit to your business.

Karina Sokolovskaya

Report on social and environmental problems in the fashion industry

Introduction

The aim of this report is to identify the most significant problems that fashionable clothes and accessories production causes in the world.

Findings

To begin with, the fashion industry is on the second place in terms of how much pollution it produces. This industry dumps too much carbon emissions (about 10% of total).

One more important fact is that fashion industry offers one of the poorest working conditions for women and children in the world. There are about 40 million people who work overtime and earn less than the minimum wage.

Despite all the problems, fashion might be not expensive and affordable. There are some recommendations that help to reduce pollution and social difficulties in this sphere:

Create samples before manufacturing physical products to cut down on waste and emissions

Encourage people to reuse their clothes or sell it in second - hand shops, avoiding the simple utilization in the wastebasket

Use alternative sustainable materials, they are less harmful for the nature.

Implement artificial intelligence to predict demand and avoid overproduction

Conclusion

Fashion industry causes harmful problems. Fortunately, there are some solutions that help humans to decrease the amount of pollution and poor working conditions.

Recommendations

It is recommended that people should be more responsible on what they do.

People are able to reuse, reduce, and recycle their things.

Prepared by Milena Kuznetsova

Makedonova Darina

Introduction

Nowadays, parents are more and more concerned about their children getting the best education. But children also have the right to choose, where to study. As many believe, the best education can be obtained abroad. However, when it comes to the pros and cons of getting good education in another country opinions differ.

Finding

Statistically, around 20% of Russian would like their children to study abroad, and 40% of respondents between 15 and 25 years old who would like to leave Russia not only to get an education, but also to stay there.

If a child goes to study abroad, he will have to go through a lot:

1. To begin with, young people become more self-organized, independent and undertake such duties as planning expenses and doing their chores around the house.

2. Secondly, it is a memorable cultural experience. By meeting people from new countries youngsters are able to get a better understanding of different beliefs, cultures, traditions and lifestyles.

3. Studing abroad is very expensive.

2. It can be stressful for youngsters since they have to live apart from their families and may face homesickness and language barrier problems.

Conclusion

To my mind, studying abroad is a great experience.
