I think that independent learning means to have an organized study plan by which you have constructed by yourself to best fit your standards in terms of factors such as time management and so on. My experience studying at study group would be a much more different experience compared to my previous educational journey, as it implements the idea of "independent learning" without the continuous help and support of teachers giving out prepared notes, extra classes and overall just the assistance.

independent learning to me means a lot of self studying, and takinng responsibility for your own work. it is up to you only to organize tasks, time and studying. i think studying will be extremely different considering the change between two different systems.

in senior year the teachers basically spoon fed me and guided me the whole way but here I will need to learn how to plan my time and ask for help when I need it

Independent learning in my point of view is when a person only depends on themselves in creating their own study plans and rely on themselves, or in other words having the responsibility for your own studies. I think that studying will be different because of the systems. I learnt the American system and graduated from an American school, and now I'll be learning the British system. It will be different from my pervious experience since I will be more independent in my studies, assignments, and projects.

I think independent learning means taking responsibility for how you learn or study things. By managing to complete tasks in your own time, analyzing your own progress, and identifying weak points. Studying here is going to be somewhat similar to my previous experience of studies, as it was a mix of teachers helping us, and us having to do our own independent learning as well.

I think that studying at Leeds Beckett will be different because from my past experience i used to get pamphlets so I don’t have to search for my own information, it was just given to me.

from my perspective, i think that independent learner means relying on yourself on doing your own work and knowing how to manage your time throughly through your week and finally reaching your goals, I also believe that studying at university is really different comparing to studying at high school . University teaches you to be an independent person unlike school that makes everything easy and straightforward.

I think independent learning in my opinion, means taking responsible for what you are learning. It requires your time, setting goals, research, and problem solving without always depending on a tutor. It is expected of independent learners to be efficient and effective, and motivated to get completely into issues on themselves. It means engaging in what you are learning, not just completing homework. I expect my time in Leeds Beckett will be different from my previous studies because of the more focus of the theory focused with limited practical exposure. In my homeland, the teacher handled majority of our education and usually gave us thorough guidance about how to get ready for exams. here i am expected to spend more time doing independent learning and research, participating in group work, thinking different point of views here. even though it will be hard at first, i think it will help my knowledge and get me ready for university life.

independent learning means taking responsibility and depending on yourself . like deciding how to learn and what works best for you whether its the time . when do I focus best ? or the place . you makeup your own problems and questions and find solutions for them by researching your sources , you have to stay motivated and disciplined . independent learning prepares you for life experiences where tutors and teachers will not always be there to help . My time studying here would differ in many ways like the learning style . back home teachers would be there for us every step of the way . relying on them for reminders , explanations and more .

Basically, independent learning is mostly working on your won without any help and studying alone. It is just relying on yourself, and testing your knowledge. It makes you manage your time wisely and helps you reach a goal. Studying here is different, because it makes you work in groups more and i find thus very helpful for being able to communicate and having people sharing their ideas with you.

Independent learning is basically self-studying and working on oneself without being dependent on others.. It is like gaining knowledge by researching on your own. Studying here for me will be very different than my previous experiences because back in my home country, we didn't use VLE or padlet so this is my first time studying on an online platform such as this. Another difference is that this VLE is helping us manage both independent learning and group cooperation as we have to watch pre-lecture videos and do tasks before getting deep into the topic. Which gives us time to research and work on our own first and then when we get to class, we get to share our ideas with our classmates and do projects together.

Independent learning is something that helps you prepare for the future as you will not always have somebody their helping you. To me independent learning is learning with minimal guidance from teachers. It's not having a holding hand guiding us through our learning journey. For example, watching lectures and doing pre and post class activities without any direction from our teachers. They already expect us to have done these activities on our own accord and come to class prepared. Independent learning is also being able to manage ones' time. Balancing school work and social life by yourself.

I believe that at Leeds Beckett it will differ from previous education systems as in the past I always had someone guiding me and telling me what to do and when to do it. In a way you could say that I was chased for my assignments and constantly reminded about deadlines. At Leeds Beckett I believe I would be expected to be doing everything by myself. I'm going to have to keep track and up to date on my own schedule and deadlines.

I think independent learning is managing your own study time outside of regular class hours. Additionally, independent learning is also setting your own learning goals and determining what you need to learn, then you can prepare materials and find methods to help you learn more effectively. In my opinion, studying here will be hard than my previous experience of study because in the past I always had close guidance from teachers, and with regular tests to evaluate. But studying here I will be able to access more rich knowledge from using the school library and explore everything related to my major . For me, independent learning is the ability of taking responsability of the studying process, through research culture (for example) and not just wait for the given informations.

I think that studying in a more independent environment will be as challenging as excited. Probably, I will face some difficulties in the first days, but I am sure that once I adjust to the new learning method I will strengthen many abilities, such as time management, problem-solving, critical thinking that will help me as a person and future profissional, overall.
