I think Jack is a villain because he stole gold instead of asking the giant for the gold. An another thing that makes Jack a villain because he chopped down the beanstalk and killed the Giant. The  reason why think Jack is a villain because he sold his cow for magical beans instead of gold, and his mother got mad at him for getting "magical" beans.
