In the research paper, Music Chemistry: The Formula of K-Pop, the author is able to effectively conduct research concerning the correlation between music composition and the success of certain K-Pop songs. As a result, the author finds that certain musical qualities, such as a song being within minor keys, less acoustic, and several other characteristics, tend to be the "formula" in producing successful K-Pop songs. As stated in their paper, their research is easily distinguishable from other case studies that relate to the realm of the K-Pop industry, and it provides a significant value to K-Pop companies and producers that desire to create successful songs.
