keep it broad. sometimes partners fall out of the sky and its important to be available and have funding to help support the projects they are proposing. they are often our best most impactful projects

small group meetings to walk through workplan ideas. include OSHII and 2-3 SHIP grantee's that are very close to each other. often times partners and projects spill into each other and it would be nice to do more regionally based projects especially when funding is tight.

a better system for approving communication items. its hard having to wait days to get a response on things as small as a FB ad. ex. if it has SHIP logo, ...... then it does not need additional approval. other communication items like stickers or yard signs we could give to partners ex. this is a SHIP funded project and include the QR code to the SHIP website

Implementation Guide- valuable to read the implementation guide and supporting documents.

Financial Guide- valuable to have an understanding of the financial guide if you're newer to SHIP, share the guide with your fiscal team (if necessary).

Learn your Region- Build relationships with your SHIPmates from surrounding counties; Learn what projects/activities they are working on; Seek opportunities to possibly work together a project that borders your county or city.

Your Community Specialist- Build relationships with your CS and TA Providers. Not all of them live or work in your community or county, but they are great assets to work with. Do not be afraid to connect with them in the beginning of any SHIP Grant Period.

Evaluation Concerns- We have completed our evaluation projects however uncertaininty with Evaluation projects going into SHIP 6 due to SHIP staff leaving and MDH staff leaving.

Funding- We have partner sites that are very interested in working with us on projects. Not all of them fully understand why we can support X but we cannot support funding Y when they feel it falls into a Context area. It would be great to have flexibility as we transition into SHIP 6 with using our Community Partner Awards on.

SHIP Evaluation Projects- Review current SHIP Evaluation projects; as we move into SHIP 6, determine how we can replicate the successes from SHIP 5 Evaluation requirements with SHIP 6 Evaluation requirements. Are there opportunities to pilot a SHIP 6 project before 11/1/2025?

SHIPmates- Host a mini-regional SHIP meeting to get a sense on how folks are feeling, how can we as a region transition into SHIP 6 w/out any issues. Improve transparency issues with coworkers.

CS and TA Providers- I think the question is "what does OSHII staff need from SHIP Grantees to make it easier as we transition into SHIP 6?" Would it be feasible if grantees have group or one on one meetings with CS provider(s) to compile our regional needs? Thanks for the time and energy you've all put into the SHIP 6 planning.
