These wellness programs are built to intertwine the individual and company goals for health and are supported by organizational leadership. Science-based research is used to develop holistic approaches to wellness that focus on the "total" health of individuals and to consider their life outside of work as well. From this, support through policies and within the organizational climate are used to foster a culture of health that supports employee health and well-being. Most programs target employees to reduce risks for chronic issues such as overweight/obesity, smoking cessation, sedentary behavior, hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Addressing these issues leads to reduced risks of disease, premature death, increased productivity, and less health care spending for employers. Organizational leadership plays a vital role in the development, support, and sustainability of such programs.

1. What strategies do organizational leaders use to support worksite wellness? 

2. What do leaders believe are sustainable, best practices for worksite wellness interventions?

As originally stated in my previous driving question, organizational leadership plays a vital role in the development, support, and sustainability of worksite health programs. But, organizational support goes further than just leaders. It addresses the environmental and policy supports as well as leadership support. Including all of these as questions will allow the following questions to be answered:
1. What strategies do organizational leaders use to support worksite wellness?
2. Which practices lead to supportive and healthy environments that employees participate in?
