Saint Cecilia is considered the patron of music because the Latin word is the plural of organum, which means: musical instrument, and was translated as an organ. Then, the phrase "while musical instruments sounded, she said to the Lord" she turned "she sang and was accompanied by an organ". And so Cecilia became the patron of music.

From the 18th century, in 1791, created by Mozart, it is a very beautiful musical work which has been represented many times in history. This is one of the pieces of the musical work, Lacrimosa. I have chosen it since I have also sung this musical work and it has been the part that I liked the most.

Created by Giulio Caccini, between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, between 1550 and 1618. It is a work for soloist which is well known and I have chosen it because I have heard it perform in several concerts

It is a musical work which appears in the film "Children of the choir" and is the most famous of the film among all those who sing. It's 2004 by Bruno Coulais. It's one of my favorite songs and I've had the pleasure of singing it.

Musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber from the collection of poems "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats". His first performance was in 1980. I chose it because I also sang it and it seemed very cool to me.
