Positive
- In my STEM class in 10th grade, we did a project where we designed paper rockets that could be launched from an air cannon. Manipulating the length of the body and nose cone and the size and shape of the fins allowed us to observe the effects that had on the aerodynamics of the rocket.
- In my Teaching class in 10th grade, we went on a field trip to an elementary school to sit in on a few classes. We were only observing, but it was still very beneficial to see the different activities the teacher had arranged and watch how she interacted with her students.

Negative
- Sometimes in AP physics we did online labs where we changed numerical inputs in a formula to accomplish a certain effect on the graph. It was very confusing and I did not enjoy it at all.

Positive
- In history last semester the teacher would us a discussion thread to ask us two or three questions about the sources we read for homework and give us ten minutes at the beginning of every class to answer them. This allowed us to begin to form our thoughts on the content and prepared us for more in-depth discussion.
- The headline was a very unique activity because it forced us to put our thoughts on the article into one very concise title. The reflection was also helpful because I was able to articulate a lot of different thoughts I've had for a long time and put them all together.

Negative
- none

Positive
- In English last Fall, the teacher had us choose a presentation media we weren't familiar with to make a presentation on any topic of our choice. This taught us to consider other medias instead of going straight to PowerPoint every time.
- This project is very similar, we're learning to use a new media and demonstrating our understanding of the different learning methods at the same time.

Negative
- When I tried to take SPED 2000 online last semester, all my professor did was assign IRIS Modules: "Watch all the videos and listen to every audio and put your answers to all the activities and assessments in a word document." There were at least three or four every week and I hated them so much I ended up dropping the class.

Positive
- In my history class last semester we had a discussion about the content in the chapter and supplementary resources every time we met. We would use what we said in the discussion board as our starting points, and the teacher would guide us towards analyzing the sources more deeply by asking us questions and explaining her own thoughts. This process always created a very rich conversation and we learned way more than we would have by studying for a quiz.
- For our final essay in American Government, our professor gave us a very simple prompt: argue for or against a certain viewpoint on a controversial topic (the use of birth control, gun control, etc.) This pushed us to put a lot of thought into our arguments and led to us having a much more complex understanding of the issue we chose.

Negative
- none

Positive
- One time in American Government last Fall, the class broke up into groups to read and discuss an article about issues that inner city schools struggle with. Each group shared their thoughts on the article and gave possible solutions to the problems, which gave everyone a variety of perspectives to consider.

Negative
- This one is sort of positive and negative. In my German classes in high school my teacher would frequently have us pair up and tell us to have a conversation in German. While it was very beneficial in the end, I didn't enjoy it very much because it was just awkward.
