Make sure you are clear and your writing has readability. Also awareness of audience needs, this is emphasized on page 86 in chapter 4. <br><br>- Decide on communication channel. Make sure your choice of channel is user friendly for your readers. <br>   <br> - if using mobile or tablet communication channels, use linear organization so that it is compatible across devices and is short and concise. <br><br>- Verbalize the desired action emphasize the objective of your message and be sure that it is easily understandable. Don't use text jargon to communicate your mission. Page 87. <br>    <br>-Edit for clarity and conciseness. Avoid overly long sentences and make sure it is clear and the action/solution  is understood (chapter 5 Page 112)<br><br>-Think like a reporter <br>Ask yourself how this will benefit the reader and how you would like them to respond to it. <br><br> -Build credibility (page 85 and 86). Also ask yourself if it is clear how what your saying will interest/ benefit the reader and what it is you would like them to do. <br><br>-Closing Remarks<br>Always allow a revision process for better overall flow and effectiveness. This will assist in the process of deciding closing statements.<br><br> -Make sure you have proofread the rest of your work and know how you would like to summarize your work towards the end of your writing. Passive voice relates to the non assertive people.<br>2. Transition = connecting thoughts by showing how one thought relates to another&nbsp;<br>3. Powerful words can determine the range of assertiveness of an employee.<br>4. Projecting your companies image and how your employees are reflective what your company is perceived. So if your employees aren't aware of how they are speaking it can actually harm the company.&nbsp;<br>5. Using technology to draft a mission statement that clearly illustrates the company's level of assertiveness.&nbsp;<br>6.&nbsp; Standards of etiquette should be addressed and maintained.  <br>7. Messages that are sent should be reviewed and edited to ensure that you are as assertive as you intended to be.&nbsp;<br>8. The article explains how some individuals may think they are more/less assertive than they actually are. related to ch. 5 such that if you don't want to sound too/not assertive enough, you should have another person review it.&nbsp;<br>9. Selecting active or passive voices when conveying a message. Active voices may be more assertive where as passive may be less assertive/&nbsp; less important.&nbsp;<br>10. Using shorter and more focused messages when the reader is likely to be viewing the message via mobile device. pg.98<br>2. Prioritize information- (inverted pyramid): Put the most important information first and then elaborate on key points after. pg. 98<br>3. Use of shorter paragraphs to reduce the intimidation factor. This will likely increase the rate in which you receive feedback. pg. 98<br>4. Creating rules for communication. When you should call, text or email. <br>5. Call him to respond in 30 minutes, text him to respond two hours, and email him to respond a day or later. <br>6. Be clear in email subject line or in voicemail so that person will understand level of importance.<br>7. Create bullet points when possible to help bring focus and to break down several points. <br>8. Effectively communicate, when "firing off a quick email" keep it short but ensure you're including enough information to effectively convey what you're trying to say. pg 87<br>9. Prioritize and use time management. Communications that should be expected to take a decent amount of time shouldn't be done in 30 second segments throughout your day.
