My approach to help increase this child's confidence was to pretend that I knew nothing about it and that he was to teach me how to use the new piece of training that Conor had shown him.
For example, this child showed me how to highlight text, and click on the reader to read the text. He was then able to apply this to textbooks being used in class. There is a placement test and each new comprehension is based on the score from the previous one. The students really enjoyed using it during lockdown and in class.  I use the ‘add to home screen’ option to make it easily accessible for students using an iPad. I think using it on Microsoft edge would be a fantastic help as students could utilise the immersive reader function. Amazing online reading library for kids. You can choose books suitable to each child's reading level and assign them using a read to me option. The children get points for each book they read and they can use these points in the reward centre on the site to play games /buy things etc. SUPER !!!
