<title>Bees are classified as Hymenoptera, or &quot;membrane wing.&quot; In the colonies there are worker bees, drones, and the Queen Bee. The worker bees are females that don&#39;t reproduce and they spend their entire life working in the colony. Drones are male bees that have a sole purpose of mating with the Queen. The Queen is the mother of the entire colony. </title>

<title>All bees have three legs on each side and two wings on each side of the thorax. When in flight a bee&#39;s wings come together on each side and move in all directions. Every bee&#39;s body is divided into three sections: the thorax (chest), head, and abdomen. Also, bees have five eyes. Three make a triangle on the front of their head, and one eye is on each side. Inside an eye there are special cells that allow bees to see most colors. Bees have special hairs on their bodies that help grab pollen. </title>

<title>To continue, bees have three legs on each side of the thorax that are used for walking, brushing pollen off its body, and handling wax. Each leg has a special notched structure called the &quot;Antennae Cleaner.&quot; On the outside of their legs, worker bees have a Pollen Basket that they use to carry pollen around. Finally, a bee uses its mouth and tongue to suck in honey, nectar, and water. They have jaws on each side of their head. They use their antennas for touching things and communicating. </title>

<title>When something is stung, the sting detaches from the bee. When in the object stung, the sting uses special muscles to pump venom into the object. If the sting is not taken out of a human it will continue to cause great pain and swelling, and sometimes death.</title>

<title>Different types of bees have different stings. A worker bee has a barbed sting that detaches when something is stung. The queen bee has a smooth sting. Although, a queen bee only uses it against other queens and it does not detach. Drones do not have stings. </title>

<title>After about three days a larva crawls of the egg. Worker bees then give it larval food, or &quot;Royal Jelly.&quot; When the larva is three days old it starts being fed a mixture of honey and pollen, called Beebread. After five days of life the larva is placed in a cell. The opening is covered by a wax cap. Inside this cell is where a larva will transform further.</title>

<title>In the book &quot;Stung&quot; people are getting vaccinated in attempt to prevent the bee flu from affecting them. But, the vaccine turns people into violent beasts. In real life bee hives are continuously being destroyed. In &quot;Stung&quot; people would do anything to get honey becuase it is the base for most products, like makeup. In the real world, if we run out of honey, or even worse bees, there would be a huge economic downfall.</title>
