For each text we studied in class (or that students read/heard on their own), we asked these questions in this order:&nbsp;<br>1) Literal level: What does the text say?<br>2) Symbolic level: What deeper meanings, symbols or metaphors might the text contain?&nbsp;<br>3) Personal level: How can you connect the text to your own life?&nbsp;<br>4) Public level, or a call to action: What moral or lesson can we derive from the text? What should we do with the knowledge we have gained through the text? </div>]]></description>
