Yes I did get vaccinated, only because I have a low immune system so it will be hard for me to get rid of the sickness

I get my vaccine on campus because it is so easy and cheap, but if I wasn't in college and did not have easy access I probably would not go out of my way to get one.

Personally I get flu shots but I think that people should get to choose if they get the vaccine or not because they shouldn’t be forced to do something with their body that they don’t want to.

I generally try to - but sometimes it’s hard to. I want to to eliminate flu overall. I’m not worried about getting sick or needles. I just try to avoid it because I have a blood disorder and I can’t afford to be sick

I believe vaccines work and are a smart thing to do as an individual and community, but I do not get a flu vaccine. I simply never want to plan a day to go get it and then plan on that day and the next potentially having to miss class or work because I feel sick

I do get my flu shot almost every year. I just always have since my parents had me do it. I believe it does prevent stronger symptoms if I do end up getting the virus.

I always get the flu shot because my mom is in health care and she always prioritized getting it. Although they don’t work every year I think it’s good to get one so that even if you get the flu it won’t be as bad.

I get one every single year I am the worst with needles but I think it is so important to have herd immunity. it’s how we “killed off” lots of other diseases and they’re proven to work:)

I used to get my flu shot every year, but not so much anymore. It isn’t really a fear or anything like that it’s just not something I feel worried about.

I always grew up getting the flu vaccine because my mom always wanted me to get it so I didn’t get sick from the kids in school. I have no strong beliefs for or against the flu vaccine. I also never had a problem with needles growing up so I was always ok with getting the vaccine.

I am military. Whether or not I want to I have to get it every year. I am a man of science so I trust in vaccinations, however I wouldn’t get the flu shot if it wasn’t required. Yes, I get sick every time I get it for a day or so.

I get vaccinated for the flu virus every fall because I travel a lot. I don’t really mind getting the flu shot but I just get it to not get sick since I’ll be in many different highly populated areas.

I wasn’t vaccinated this year but that’s mostly because I haven’t really noticed a difference between when I do and don’t. That said, I totally understand the concept of herd immunity.

I get the vaccine if it's readily available to me. I don't have a strong opinion either way, however I would be more at peace if my mom, who is of poor health, gets it. For me I would simply get it to prevent me from giving the flu to her.

Yes I get one every year. Sometimes two if I forget to get documentation of the first one. I get one partially because I am required but also why not right. If they guessed wrong and got the wrong strain then all I got was a sore arm. If they guess right and I don't get sick or maybe just don't get as sick as I otherwise might have even better.

I have not gotten a flu vaccine in the past few years, mostly because I am not scared of getting the virus and trying to schedule an appointment to get it is annoying. If there are convenient flu vaccines on campus I’ll get one.

I do get vaccines, I’m very afraid of needles but since I was little my mom taught me is the right thing to do. That way if a virus comes up, is less likely we get to sick from it.

I have gotten my vaccinations since I was a baby and it's just part of my annual routine. I don't really feel like they're a hazard to my body I feel like they are a safety net for if I do get sick and need something to help my immune system stay healthy. My family has always advocated for vaccines so i get them too.

it depends on the year whether or not i get the flu vaccine. if i know i am going to be in an environment where i am more likely to get sick (dorms, traveling, etc.) i will get the vaccine. if not, continence plays a big role in whether or not i would get it.

i haven’t been getting my flu vaccine because i rarely get sick so it just doesn’t cross my mind. i probably should be getting my flu vaccine. im not a fan of needles but since the covid vaccines i’ve been getting used to needles.

I do get a flu vaccine. I personally believe that it is more beneficial to the general public and to my own health to get it than not. I know it’s a guessing game about what strain of flu we will have but it’s better to take a shot to prevent it than not. I haven’t once gotten sick when I’ve gotten the vaccine, and I haven’t gotten the flu since I remember getting the vaccine.

I get a flu vaccine every year because people in my family are immunocompromised, so although I will probably be fine if I get the flu, my relatives would get very sick and are at a greater risk of dying from the flu

I have always gotten a flu vaccine. Part of it is habit from my annual flu shot with my parents when I was growing up, and I also have yet to experience the side effects of feeling sick after receiving one. I enjoy having the comfort of having a lesser chance of getting as sick as I would without it, or even preventing symptoms at all.

I sometimes get the flu vaccine, it all depends on how busy I am. But I haven’t gotten it the past couple of years. When I was living at home, I was more consistent because my younger brother has an autoimmune disease that makes him more susceptible to getting sick.

I do not get the flu shot often. Because in the past I have only received the vaccine when the flu virus was very strong and making a mass amount of people very sick. Otherwise I do not get the flu vaccine.

Yes, my dad is a doctor so it hasn’t ever been an option. But I also think that it is important because even if it isn’t 100% effective every time it can still benefit. I also believe that is it better to get it because then you don’t have to worry as much about getting sick and if you do get the flu it is most likely to be a more mild case.

I am exposed at my job to flu and other contagious illnesses so I do get it every year. My employer gives it for free. I will say it only works about half the time from my experience so I understand why people don’t.

I do not get vaccinated for the flu vaccine. In general I’m a very healthy person who takes vitamins on a daily basis and stays active. I’d rather build my immunity naturally than have it injected into me. Additionally I rarely get sick so I’m not too concerned about suffering that consequence

I get the flu vaccine because I believe it’s one of those things you do to “rather be safe than sorry”. My family always made sure I was up to date on all vaccines. I think vaccines have been proven to be effective and should be taken seriously.

No I dont. The vaccine is usually a guess. I haven’t been sick since the year I stopped taking it too. If you keep your health in check you shouldn’t have to worry about sickness or getting a vaccine. As long as you don’t have any underlying stuff.

I believe that getting vaccines is not a bad thing personally, although when I get the flu vaccine I always catch the flu & when I don’t; I never get the flu. I am perfectly fine with needles. I just believe to build up your immune system. Although that’s what the flu vaccine should do it just doesn’t work the best for me.

i do not get the flu vaccine. i think vaccines are a great resource to keep people healthy, but as a young, healthy individual i don’t see the benefit in having a foreign substance injected into my body when my immune system is strong enough to fight the virus off without that injection.

I do not get a flu vaccine. Growing up we never went and got them so I honestly don’t know much about them. My family is big proponents for the idea of just natural immunity and not putting things in your body that are necessarily needed

I personally get the vaccine every year, especially if it is offered to me. I think it is important to protect yourself, and I am scared of getting significantly sick and missing events in my busy life. Additionally, as a volunteer at the hospital, I expose myself to at risk populations and don’t want to spread something that can potentially be fatal to others. Lastly, the flu vaccine is pretty low risk to get, and the benefits like immunity, greatly outweigh any potential downfalls.

I use to get the vaccine because my mom would always give them to me because she was a nurse as a kid. Now I would choose not to because as I have gotten older I don’t necessarily think that I benefit from it. I always get the flu after I get the flu shot, or have a bad reaction and end up getting sick anyways. I do think that are is a stigma about it and a lot of false information is shared about it through people who have different beliefs which is frustrating

i have gotten it a few times, but got sick on some of the years i’ve gotten it. i have not gotten it recently and have been fine. that makes me feel like it doesn’t matter if i get it or not so i do not take the time to go get it. if some one wishes to get it then they should, but i have not seen a difference for me personally weather i get it or not.

I do not get a flu vaccine I end up having an allergic reaction to it and end up hospitalized. I do however have and get most all other vaccines. I think people do benefit from vaccines I do understand truly having life treating reactions to them that prevent it and possible religious reason making people exempt. I do think though that people who do not fall under those categories should consider it to keep themselves safe and those around them and loved ones safe and protected.

I do get a flu vaccine. I get a vaccine because I do not want to fall behind in assignments and information in my classes. Although I would be fine from getting sick, I don’t want to put the elderly and compromised at risk.

No because I don’t trust vaccines- the flu or most other kinds of vaccine. It mostly comes from my mom- she is in the holistic medicine field and she thinks that vaccines cause lots of other side effects and health problems like dementia and autism so I have never really had vaccines.

I usually get vaccinated for the flu because it is scientifically proven to reduce the risk of getting the flu. Some years I have skipped it simply because I don’t make it a priority, but as a college student exposed to many different people and places I believe it is a good idea. Though needles are horrible it is worth the few moments of pain to prevent sickness, and as a busy person and athlete being sick is a huge inconvenience.

I remember getting flu vaccines as a kid and in middle school but haven't since high school. I've always had a pretty good immune system and very rarely get sick. If i were to get the flu, I would rather let my body fight it naturally while staying away from the community. As a young, overally healthy, and active person, I'm really not worried about it.

Yes, I work in healthcare where I come into contact often. I think it’s a personal choice to get the vaccine or not. Just maybe offer incentives for those that do as it does help.

I would say it depends on the year. It’s not a priority for me because I tend to not get sick very often, but I definitely would say I would get one every year if it was on my mind more. I definitely think vaccines are beneficial to our society as a whole to build up immunity to a certain virus or whatever sickness. I’m also with vaccines in a way that if someone is more susceptible to getting sick then the ones around them get influence their health. So me not getting a vaccine could influence the health of someone else.

I have never gotten a flu vaccine and I honestly don’t plan to. Mainly because I have also never gotten the flu and have had multiple people in my life who do get the vaccine, get the virus anyway. I think it has its place in society to help people who may have further health issues as a result of the flu, but personally I don’t think I need it.
