While I had used twitter for class before, I never kept up with it. I was open to trying it out for the book chat because it was something that could be continued for longer than class time. It allowed us to connect with classmates that read different books and even students in other classes. 

But, it was difficult to keep conversations going. I think one of the difficulties that came up, was that people would tweet and then never return to twitter. They got the assignment done and then moved on. This allowed for little discussion about our books.
