In this day and age, I feel as though you cannot live without your cellphone. Being realistic, our generation has built off of technology and devices. I find it hard to believe that kids around my age can survive without their cellphone unless they grew up in a strict environment.

In my opinion, it depends on the situation. If you are in a forest, there are multiple resources by which you can manage to survive. In things like life-or-death situations, for example, kidnapping attempt, your phone could help.

Cell Phones are something you can survive without, although it might make certain things more difficult, like having to call someone from a payphone if you're not at your house or having to use a map for directions when traveling. It wouldn't kill someone to not have their phone. So we can live without them.

The only thing I can think of for this, is that survival and technology both involve communication. Communication is a point in survival and technology as you can exchange information about certain things.

Technology has been used to help people live. I'm not speaking on just cellphones to call for help. People use technology like a pacemaker that monitors your heart or hearing aids that help people who are HOH/Deaf hear. These keep people alive or better their lives.
