Tens of billions of South African money is stolen or squandered each year. Officials are doing nothing about it. The Zuma administration of 2009-2017 ruined South Africa's political accountability and allowed a huge amount of corruption. Criminal activities continue to grow more frequent because officers are not proving that they will do something to stop it which results in of billions of South African rand stolen or squandered each year. And officials are doing nothing about it.

The Dutch first colonized South Africa in 1795.The British took South Africa from the Dutch in 1806. When the British first came they were looking for natural resources and labor workers. After imperialism was done though it left South Africa incredibly damaged. It created a spread racial discrimination and economic exploitation. There were some positives to Imperialism though. It increased the importance of education. While the British were there they built schools and really emphasized on how important education is. Although the British did this for their own benefit it still was good for the country. Some other improvements include advances in agricultural and mining. A lot of oil is transferred along the coast of Africa. South Africa also mines coal for energy. This creates acid mine drainage into the water causing it to get contaminated 

As the population continues to grow in South Africa there is a greater need for more land. People have to cut down forests in order to make room for citizens.

The government isn't able to provide enough supplies and classroom space for kids in order to get a good education. The places that do have supplies and room are not providing good education.
Immigration- Just like in the US many are going to South Africa in order to escape violence and find a job. This is creating problems because it causes more crime and poverty because of the fight to find a job.
