Places for the messengers to rest were placed every 15 to 30 miles. The Inca had a class structure which is like a organized set of groups. People that were born in Cozco held a higher class than Incas that weren't. The highest class was the the emperor. They also had their own way about family life. Families in the Inca belonged to larger clans was called Ayllus.
