What is Thinking:
Thinking skills are mental processes we use to do things like: solve problems, make decisions, ask questions, construct plans, evaluate ideas, organise information and create objects.

What is Group Work?
A bunch of brains combining to solve a problem.

What is Metacognition
Metacognition is "cognition about cognition", "thinking about thinking", "knowing about knowing", becoming "aware of one's awareness" and higher-order thinking skills
Besides rhesus monkeys, apes, and dolphins, only humans are able to think about metacognition.
This is usually by teaching pupils specific strategies to set goals, and monitor and evaluate their own academic development. Self-regulation means managing one’s own motivation towards learning. The intention is often to give pupils a repertoire of strategies to choose from during learning activities.

Thinking skills is a way we interpret data or information by creating our own ideas, concepts or belief of a particular topic or subject.

Group work: Group work consists of people coming together to develop a collection of ideas to produce an outcome.

Metacognition: Mezirow's theory of transformation learning uses the idea that pupils learn from their experiences and then reflects on their experience. By reflecting they can understand the concepts they have learnt and uses them in different contexts to understand where they are in learning and how they are going to achieve their learning goals.
