My name is Oni Holik and my students call me Mam Oni. I have been teaching English at SMAK1 BPK PENABUR since 1987. Though I am not a permanent teacher, I really enjoy teaching at SMAK1 and have spent half of my life teaching here under four different principals starting from Mr. Tedja, Mr. Iwan, Ms. Boni and now Mr. Stephanus , who used to be my student.
I graduated from Maranatha University in 1987 and started teaching at SMAK1 BPK PENABUR and SMAK TRIMULIA but I only spent four years teaching at SMAK TRIMULIA and continued teaching only in one school as I was busy with my marriage life and my private students at home.
In short, I never regret being a teacher as my carreer and feel happy to see my students who have become successful people.

Hollaa my name is Andrew and my students call me mr.A. I have been teaching at SDK Singgasana since 2010. I was graduated from the English Faculty of Letter in Maranatha. This is my first job since I was graduated. I love teaching because I love children. They have special things. All my problems seem vanish when I met them.

Hi, everyone.
I'm Christ from Singgasana primary school. It's my fifth year in BPK PENABUR.
Teaching wasn't my passion at first, but He always gives me the way to the education world. Once I worked away from school things and it's tedious. Therefore, I teach again until now. One thing I like to be a teacher is to see the students' progress, from a good student becomes the excellent one. It's not only for the academic but also the character.
Football is the hobby that I can't play in this pandemic. I used to play it twice or three times a week, but now I can only watch it on weekends. So sad.

Hi Fellow Teacher! I’m Esther Diana from SMAK Banda. I’m teaching History for JC1 & JC2. Teaching has always been my passion, I’ve been teaching since 2001- 2021 on SMAK 2 BPK Penabur. Since then I’m also teaching at several schools such as SMPK1 BPK, SMAK 3 BPK & SMAK Banda. Reading becomes the way to recharge my energy. Recently because of the pandemic, I’ve been fond of youtube because I got a crush on BTS, a Kpop Megastar. Not only because of their music and good appearance but also the way they used their popularity to spread positivity & love to the world. No wonder even United Nations itself acknowledged their big influence to the young generation and invites them to speak in the UN three times. Wow! My family consists of four. Me and my husband, who working as overseas marketing at Ateja. My 12 years old son, and a daughter who just celebrated her 4th birthday this month. I loved them all so much. Being a teacher is one of the greatest things that happened in my life. I love to spend my time teaching and sharing knowledge with my students. Many of my students are still connected with me through social media networks. Its been a satisfaction to see them grow and succeed on their own and still appreciate me as their teacher. Hello everyone, I’m Linda, and I’ve been joining at BPK PENABUR since 2009. I'm from Bandung, and I'm a mother of 2 children.

My educational major was Business Administration. I was studying at Social and Political Sciences Faculty at Parahyangan Catholic University, Class of 1998.

After I graduated, I was working for some representative offices here in Bandung. Those companies’ working fields are Export and Import textile business, and my position was Marketing Executive, handling American and Canadian markets.

Through these experiences, I had some opportunities to know various people from many countries - Jewish, Japanese, Indian, Korean, American.

When I was in the first year of High School, I was really fortunate to have English club course with native speaker with my friends. We took the course for approximately 4 years. Then, I continue to study English at UNPAR Language Center for additional 2 years with some native teachers.

In the beginning, I was teaching at BPK PENABUR Singgasana Kindergarten. Two years later, I moved to TKK 246 until now. My teaching experience was becoming home class teacher in K1 level. And after several years, I decided to become subject teacher for some specific subjects.

I enjoy teaching. Teaching gives me good experience and enrich my knowledge in many aspects. I start teaching since I was in the first year of college. I was assisting my former Chemistry teacher in the Chemistry lab.

Not only that, but I also like to cook. I try to cook many kinds of foods. Japanese and Korean foods are my favorite. I even make Kimchi by my own.

Dear friends, my name is Sena Prayoga, I am a physics teacher. I have been teaching for 4 years at SMAK 1 Penabur Bandung with more than 20 years of experience teaching physics and mathematics in several schools. I am very happy to be in this training, have the opportunity to learn more English. If I had free time I would like to join the CELTA program, but indeed my time is tight enough to be able to follow it. I like learning English even though language lessons are quite difficult for me, not only foreign languages but to be able to learn Indonesian properly and correctly too. My background in the exact, scientific field sometimes makes it difficult for me to be able to make small talk or to look beautiful in writing. I hope that through this class my language skills can be improved. Dear friends, my name is Mahendra. I was born in Bandung 57 years ago. At first, I didn't want to be a teacher. But for me, being a teacher has hypnotized me, so without realizing it, this year is already my 33rd year as a teacher. A Catholic priest named Henricus van Iperen was the one who called me to join the teaching and educator team at St Aloysius Middle and High School. Asked to help with student activities, spiritual activities, build a school choir and lead a retreat house owned by the school. At first, I only taught national history, and then I was given the trust to teach Pancasila moral education. Then continue to teach social studies or IPS. The experience of 15 years of teaching at St Aloysius School has been an extraordinary experience for me. Give me the experience to be involved with students in organizing many student events, building a school choir that has won several national choir festivals, helping to build spiritual activities, and for 12 years managing a center for life skills education.In 2004 I left this big school with all the experiences and memories. Then work in a travel agency. A job that allowed me to lead several domestic tourist trips.After just a few months of enjoying the job, I got a call to teach at SMPK 1 BPK PENABUR on Jln Pasirkaliki. It was a new challenge for me because I had to teach bilingual classes with a new subject, Geography, so I had to learn and adapt a lot. It's only been a few years, but it's quite memorable because I experienced working with a team of teachers who always worked hard and were forged by an extraordinary workload.Then I joined the teaching team at Trimulia School. Continue to teach social studies and remain involved in various student events. I am very grateful that at Trimulia, I had the experience to organize several important school events, which also helped me to build a short career in the event organizer field.And 2022 will be my 6th year as a teacher at BPK PENABUR BANDA School. I have to face an extraordinary challenge at this school, which is to become a teacher of IGCSE Geography, with a curriculum and teaching approach that is very different from social studies from the national curriculum.

I am privileged by the opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Florentia , and I am the primary teacher from BPK Penabur Banda. I received my Bachelor Degree in Faculty of Letter from the University of Maranatha Bandung. I have since furthered my expertise in being a teacher by learning of being primary teacher from UPI. I have been joined the BPK foundation as a teacher for almost 13 years. I am blessed to be able to learned a lot strategies of teaching ever since I joined SDK Banda.

Once I graduated from the college, I had experienced to work in a yarn company as marketing staff export. I dealt with all of documents once the yarn shipped. It took me for 3 years to work in the yarn company. I felt extremely exhausted since I didn’t spent time too much to have holiday and enjoyed my life. I decided to resign and joined BPK Penabur Banda as the primary teacher.

I am a mom with 2 children, the eldest is in his 8 years old and the younger one is 13 months old. I loved to read books especially the fiction one. I could read several books in a day on the old days. However, ever since I became a mom, I simply hard to find a quiet time to read and enhance myself. I also enjoyed to cook and loved to explore new recipe for the whole my family to enjoy. I am an introvert person that I don’t like mingle around the new people. I recharge myself by having quiet moment all by myself.

Over my nine years of teaching in SMPK 1 BPK PENABUR, I’ve managed to successfully increase my student’s understanding of Biology, because most students prefer to learn Physics to Biology. Hello, friends. My name is Lina. I was born on 14th June 1991. I got my Bachelor Degree from UPI. I am an English teacher. I have been teaching English since 2015. My teaching experience started at SDK BPK PENABUR Cimahi. I taught at that school for 2 years, then I moved to St. Angela High School. I taught there for about 3 years. SDK BPK Penabur Singgasana is the current school where I am working at right now. I've been teaching English and being a homeroom teacher at this school since 2019. Furthermore, teaching is my passion and being a teacher was my dream job when I was a kid. I love talking to children and teenagers. I also love to share my knowledge and discuss it with my students.

In September 2020, I gave birth to my first child, Aaron. As a woman, that was the most memorable moment for me. I've learned lots of things after becoming a mother. However, I had baby-blues for several months and it affected who I was last year. I became a sensitive and selfish person that I didn't really care about any other things, except me and my son. Now, I am learning to manage my time. I need to finish my job at school before weekends come. So that, I have more quality time with my son every weekend. I also need to improve and upgrade my skills in English and ICT. This year, I promise to myself to use more applications and websites to teach English. Quizziz is not the only way to play online games or to teach language creatively. I should watch and read more English teaching resources. Thus, my learning activities can be more exciting for students to join.

One of my goals in 2022 is to be able to manage my time since I have several roles at one time, a mother, a wife, and a teacher. In addition, I shouldn't take anything for granted. I should use all the blessings that God has given to me wisely. I hope I can be a better person this year.

Hello, everyone! My name is Cynthia and I am teaching K1 students (3 – 4 years old students) at TKK Banda. I am married and I am the second child in my family. I have one older brother, one younger sister and brother. I was born in Ambon and I was raised in some cities in Java, such as: Ambarawa, Surabaya and Yogyakarta. It was because of my father’s work that made us move from one city to another city. Bandung, if I may say, is the final stop for my family to live and stay at last. I don’t have a beautiful voice, but I like singing and I know how to play a guitar just a little bit. I started my career as an English teacher in 2002 and I was given the opportunity to teach the primary students in year 1 to 4 at Dian Emas Christian School. In 2005, I joined with TKK PENABUR PIS and in 2012 I decided to leave because of some reasons. I spent 3 years to teach in the different preschools. I taught at MindChamps in South Jakarta for a year and I spent two years teaching at Stamford, Bandung. In 2015 I decided to go back to TKK PENABUR Banda the place where I had learned a lot to become a professionally qualified teacher. So, now, here I am. I am so thankful that God has given me one more chance to join with the amazing school and foundation where people are always encouraged to become lifelong learners.
