Hardworking

I believe that I am a hardworking individual because I put 100% effort into everything that I do, whether it be schoolwork or helping around in my community or family. I think I developed this trait because my parents always pushed me to try my hardest when I was a young child. For example, they would always push me to strive for good grades, and they would not allow me to settle when they knew that I could do better. Their pushing me to achieve the most I could possibly achieve shaped me to become the hardworking individual I am now.

Throughout my recent years, I have always made it a point to look on the bright side of things. I believe that my personality has developed this perspective because I have always been told that nothing is as bad as it seems. For example, when I was little, if I would ever cry or be upset about a situation, my parents would tell me that it was not the end of the world and that the situation was not worth crying over (in a non-condescending way). This taught me that as long as I have my health and security, everything is going to be okay, showing that I generally have an optimistic personality.

I believe that I have a generally strong personality. I think the reason behind this is that I went through a very emotional time while my parents got divorced when I was 7 years old. From seeing my parents fight and eventually separate while I was at a young age, I learned how to deal with problems efficiently. I learned how to deal with my parents in their times of hurt, and this taught me how to carry myself whenever I need strength.

I am the type of person who cares deeply for the people who are important me. I believe that I developed this personality trait because of the nature of my family. My parents have always loved me unconditionally, and so I learned from them how to show love to those around me. I show my love through my constant care and appreciation for my parents and sister.

I believe that I developed my supportive nature from my parents because they always supported me in my endeavors as a child. They never shot down my ideas, and they always encouraged me to reach for my goals. As a result, I grew up very loved and supported. From this, I have learned how to be supportive of the people around me and to encourage them to do their best. For example, I always encourage my sister to try her best in school, and I always help her when she is struggling, showing that I am able to support her when she is down.

I am usually enthusiastic about everything I do in life and, therefore, tend to put a tremendous amount of effort into my activities. I think that this was developed out of a love for my extracurricular activities. For example, I have had a love for choir and have been involved in school choir and extracurricular choirs from a young age. I believe that this love for choir fostered an enthusiastic feeling for singing in choir. From there, I learned how to be enthusiastic and put passion into every extracurricular I do and everything I participate in.

I tend to have a very realistic outlook on life and the events that occur in my life in the sense that I do not easily freak out about unfavorable situations. I believe that this is because I have been surrounded by circumstances in which I need to evaluate and realize the extent to which they will actually affect my life. For example, when I was little and my parents got a divorce, I learned that things are not actually as bad as they may seem. This created a more realistic perspective on life and taught me to truly think realistically about how certain things would affect my life.

I generally think of myself as an outgoing person because I enjoy talking to new people and branching out a lot. I believe that I have been outgoing not for all of my life but at least since around middle school. I learned in middle school that it is important for me to make my ideas heard if I wanted to make any sort of difference. I think that this idea translated into my social life in that I used it to talk to new people and establish my voice in my school and community.

I am usually very organized with my schoolwork and with my life in general. From a young age, it has always been taught to me (by my parents) that keeping on top of schoolwork was an expectation. To do this, I learned how to stay organized to make sure I never missed anything important. This skill has stuck with me to my current personality, and it helps me to always stay on top of the many things I am juggling in my life.

I believe that I am a very disciplined and respectful person. This is the case when it comes to respecting both myself and others. I think that this is the case because I was raised by two parents who always taught me how important respect is, especially toward my elders. Additionally, I was raised with a strong moral background and always taught to make the right choices. I believe that this shaped me to have the moral compass and disciplined nature that I have now.
