In my life, Mr. Walden was an unsung hero. He was my bus driver in 3rd-6th grade. We had a long bus ride to school and he always tried to make it fun and engaging. He gave us jobs as we got off the bus and if we had good behavior, we would get a special reward on Fridays! He would let us bring a cassette tape to play and we would have singalongs! It was so much fun. I never dreaded riding his bus.

Over here in my existence, I had another unsung hero, my sister, this is crazy since I hate my sister and she hates me. But once we were at home, and we did not know where our parents were. That terrified us. As we searched I ended up just giving up and just feeling scared in my room, but knowing my sister, she kept looking, and then she found them and saved me from having a panic attack. Maybe I should like her more after that...hmm...I mean this was like 3 years ago..I'll think about it.

One time when I was little about 5-6, there was a very kind lady who worked at Family Dollar, she started checking my stuff out and finished ringing up my stuff. She told me the cost was more than I had and I was sad because I was a couple dollars too short. I asked her to take two things out but she said it was fine she would pay the money I was short. Me and my dad were so thankful since we were struggling with some money at the time. I told her thank you so much for doing this as we didn't believe this at first, but she was so happy she could help us out and said that it was no problem. The lady was most likely motivated to help us out because she saw how sad I was to put some stuff back and how much money I had in my hands. She must've thought that she could have at least helped us with some money. This made me so happy and thankful that some people are still so nice and not rude or obnoxious, this gave me hope that people can still have respect and kindness. I felt a light lit up inside me. I would like to show my appreciation by giving her some money or thank you stuff for acknowledgement. Unsung heroes like this lady should be acknowledged by giving them words or actions of encouragement and thanks.

My example of a real life unsung hero is my mom. My mom has always been there for me and my siblings whenever we needed her most. Like when we got hurt or sick or we just needed someone to talk to. She has been with us since we first came into the world. She always encourages us to try new things, embrace our strengths and weaknesses and has loved us all the way to where we are now. I got this information from my own personal experiences.

One time I met an unsung hero that I didn’t even know was an unsung hero until something bad happened.I was a little boy trying to get clothes from my drawer so I could take a bath.I was very short and the dresser was tall with a big boxy TV on top of it.I (like the little idiot I was at the time.) pulled the bottom drawer out and stood on it to reach my clothes on the top drawer. The dresser started tipping over and the TV and dresser fell on top of me.I thought I would die.I was pinned between the dresser and my mattress on the floor. My dad carried the dresser and TV off of me and made sure I was okay.He heard my scream from his room and took action to help me.I was crying and I thought I was dead but I was really happy once I knew I was alive and gave my dad a big long hug. From that day forward I have never climbed on a tall shelf again.

It was the 2024 balloon fiesta, and this was one of the only times my dad wasn’t here. We went early in the morning to see the first rise, and it just felt like normal, except that my dad wasn’t here. Then we went back later in the evening to see the balloon light up and the drone show. Also, every moment we could, we hunted for balloon cards. That evening, we went on our last hunt, and while we were moving, I got a pretty bad bloody nose. My mom was taking care of it, and then suddenly, my little brother, who was 6 years old at the time, was missing. We looked, and my friends and their parents started looking, and at that point, it was just like a search party. About 40 minutes later, one of my mom’s friends gave her somewhere to look, and as we got there, there he was with a police officer. My mom, my brother, and I were in tears when we were back together. It may have been the police who brought him to us, but still. It felt like she was an unsung hero.

One of my biggest unsung heroes in my life is my older brother. He might not realize it, but he has helped me throughout some really tough times without ever expecting anything in return. There was a time when I was feeling overwhelmed with school and didn't think I could keep up. I didn't even ask for help, but my brother noticed. He sat down with me to help me organize, and explained things in a way I could understand. Even when I was frustrated, he stayed patient with me. He always made time for me, even when he had his own work to do. I think what motivated him was simply that he cares that he wants me to succeed and be happy . His support made me feel stronger and more confident. He didn't make it a big deal about it, but to me his quiet help meant everything. That's what makes him an unsung hero in my life.

Why do we need unsung heroes? What is an unsung hero? An unsung hero is a person that can help you with anything for no reward. That's why we need more unsung heroes because people just do things for rewards but not do things to just help people. But why would people help someone maybe because they have a good heart. Everyone should be an unsung hero but the world isn't always perfect.A police officer and a firefighter ambivalence is an unsung hero anyone can be. It can be like policies save people from anything like firefighters helping people get out of fires and put them out in ambulances, taking people to the hospital and helping them in the ambulance when they're driving to the hospital. One time I was at the park and this van showed up. It said get in, I was surprised. I didn't care but I was a little scared he kept saying rudely but my parents came and confronted him. He drove off all inbearest. You can tell but my parents saved me. I wasn't going to get in anyway but he could have done something. He drove so fast it was kind of funny after because he looked so inbarest Well if you forgot what an unsung hero is, it's a hero that does something like helping you. Like most people do stuff for rewards but these people don't that good person.

A year ago, back in Fifth grade, I was graduating from elementary school. It was a great night, but there was one part I remember about that night. I remember I went to Outback and I got some ice cream, but my waiter said that I was a nice kid, and he paid for my food. Was it necessary? No! Was it a big act? No! But was it kind and made a great night even better, yes. You see, these little acts of kindness are what make people's days. He made a great memory in my mind, as I still remember that dish, and whenever I think about that night, I think about him, because he truly did something great. He made me happy and feel good about myself. It was a nice reward, and I'm thankful for it.

This story is about five years ago when I was 7 . Me and my mom were driving home from church on Sunday . we were taking that right turn to go onto unser . as we were merging into the lane a guy in a truck cut us off . my mom didn't see until the last second because she was trying to merge into the lane. My mom slammed the brakes but it wasn't enough . We hit the truck really hard. Our front of the car was super damaged and totaled . but it was no big deal for the car cause it was like a 2001 camry so it was going to die either way. But for me and my mom she got very little hurt most of the damage was from the airbag. I almost broke my nose and had a small super small fracture in my arm. We were sitting there in pain waiting for someone to come . My dad showed up with my grandpa . My mom and dad had to stay for a while because the police men had to talk to them . but for me my grandpa took me home cause i was 7 and i had no clue what was happening . On the way home my grandpa did everything he could to take my mind off of the crash. When I got home I felt happy because I never knew what actually happened. Until a few years ago when they told me. So my unsung hero is my grandpa for helping me get my mind off of the crash and make me feel better.

A story from when I experienced an unsung hero was when I had just turned 4 and my mom and the rest of my family took me to Disneyland. My family was taking a picture in front of a bridge and I wanted to go watch the parade so I walked. I walked away and got lost and didn't know where my family was. I went up to a security guard and told him I didn’t know where my mom was. Luckily before we left the hotel my mom had written her phone number on my foot with a sharpie so they could call her if I got lost. The security guard called my mom and I was safely returned to my family. To this day the security guard taught me not to run away or get lost in huge crowds and stay with my family. This made me feel brave and happy.

Do you know what an unsung hero is? Do you know what they do? Well an unsung hero is someone who does good things asking nothing in return. Unsung heroes can be kind or scary but at the end of the day they helped you out. People would do this if they're just kind or they see you're having a bad day. And we need unsung heroes because one of these acts can really help someone. It could help someone so much that it could help them with a mentality like stopping depression.

You might have seen an unsung hero already but there are way more unsung heroes that help other people like Virginia. Virginia was on a trip with her class and she brought her daughter with her but her daughter was left on a train all Virginia saw was a man with a dog with a spiked collar walking to her daughter. She was scared that the guy was going to steal her daughter or hurt her. But not that long ago the same guy walked back to the train stop and gave her daughter back. But before she could thank the guy he was gone. I got this from wamu 88.5 npr special series unsung hero.

My unsung hero story takes place at the zoo. One day my family and a friend went to the zoo together. We were having fun until we could not see my little sister. We were looking at giraffes when we found out that she was missing from the group. We left her at the reptile place. Later on while we were looking for her we got called up to the front where some random guy had brought her to the front but he left before we could see him. I was glad that someone had brought her to the front because I would not like to live without my sister because I have known her for most of my life.

Know that I told you all that you sound respect your unsung hero more. And remember to be an unsung hero you have to help someone without something in return. Now I dare you to go be an unsung hero to someone else.

This was 2024, September, me and my dad were going to the store, we got a steak for food, and when we got back, I was eating while watching a cartoon, and i laughed and the food wasn't chewed all the way and I choked and i panicked, my dad saw it and he leaned me over and hit my stomach and he saved me, and i'll never forget it because if I was alone or he didn't see it, I would have probably died from choking. A little advice, be careful with eating, and try not to laugh when food is in your mouth, especially if it's chunks that have not been chewed properly.

My unsung hero

One time when I was little about 5-6, there was a very kind lady who worked at Family Dollar, she started checking my stuff out and finished ringing up my stuff. She told me the total cost which was more than I had, I was sad because I was a couple dollars too short. I asked her to take two things out but she said it was fine she would pay the money I was short. Me and my dad were so thankful since we were struggling with some money at the time. I told her thank you so much for doing this as we didnt believe this at first, but she was so happy she could help us out and said that it was no problem.

A story I had of an Unsung Hero was in third grade, I was getting my math stuff from my cubby, and all my stuff fell out. I started trying to clean it up, but I just couldn’t. Then, a little girl named Samantha started helping me pick up my school stuff. She even helped me reorganize the whole cubby. I was very thankful and I thanked her a lot. Then, to be nice on Teacher Appreciation Week, Samantha and I helped the teachers clean after school. Samantha and I felt very happy and excited to help the teacher for Appreciation Week. We also helped the janitors clean up after the big grades like ate lunch. We felt very happy and we appreciated what we did and we were happy to do that. Then, next week I helped clean outside during recess. I got a snack after and I shared it with one of my friends that didn’t have anything to eat. I was very happy that I did that.

An experience I had was kind of basic, but still.

A personal story I have with an unsung hero is with my mom. My mom is there for when I need her, she cheers me up and makes sure I remain safe. My specific story though is whenever I broke my arm. It was the first time I broke my arm and I regretted it. My mom had warned me not to jump off my bed, but I didn’t listen. As I did I felt a sharp sting in my arm. I asked my mom why I felt this way but she knew why. I had broken my arm. She drove me to the hospital and the ER was soon coming. As we walked up to the door the lady at the front desk told us that they wouldn't have an opening until the morning. My mom shook her head and the waiting game began. She didn’t leave my side and finally at about 7pm in the night they were free. After that everything was a blur, I went through surgery and finally when I woke up beside my bed was my mom. She had flowers, a teddy bear, balloons, and a card. I smiled and we walked out with pins in my arm and a cast wrapped tightly around it but I was grateful she never left my side. My mom made my life better by just giving me a shoulder to cry on. She is always there for me. I think that the shock, fear, her motherly instincts, and the kindness in her heart caused her to act heroically. It made me feel very loved and relieved. The whole incident was scary to me especially because of how little I was, and me knowing she was there beside me through everything made me feel a gush of relief.

One time, during the summer break for the fifth grade my grandpa took me and my sister swimming. Of course he couldn't get in the pool so I had to watch her, but with me being irresponsible I just told her to stay at the shallow part of the pool because I wanted to go to the deep end. So I went to the deep end and everything seemed fine, until I went back to go check on her. She was gone. I was panicking because I realized she left her floaties at the end of the pool and that she must have followed me to the deep end. The pool was super big so I had to move quickly to try and find her. But thank god, someone else found her quickly before me. A kind lady swam up to me holding my sister and asked if I was looking for her. I said yes and felt so relieved that my sister was okay. The lady smiled and explained she saw her drowning and saved her, made sure she was okay and brought her to shore til she could breathe again. I couldn't thank that lady anymore. Not only did she totally save me from being yelled at by my Grandpa, but she saved my sister's life. I appreciate her so much wherever she is!

There was once an unsung hero in my life. It was my grandma. I wasn't in a good situation once with my mom and step dad so she found out and took a flight to Florida and picked me up because she knew I wasn't ok there. So she took a plane and got me and took me to New Mexico. things were going well. A few months later my mom got into a rehab and my stepdad was left in florida. Then 6 months after I left with my mom to Arizona and she got a boyfriend and it didn't turn out well with him so I moved back here and my mom stayed there . Long story later my life has changed because of her. I don't give her enough reconnaissance that she deserves. She has done so much for me and she deserves more.

An unsung hero experience that I had was when i was playing at a park and this little girl was searching and crying looking for her mom. So i went up to her and said “what does your mom look like” and she told me what she looked like. I told her “I will go look for her just stay here”, so I went off to search for her and I saw pretty far away from her daughter. So I went back to the little girl and said “follow me i think i see your mom” so we walked on over and she said that was her. I went up to the mom and said “hey your daughter was crying and was lost so i helped her find her mom and she said you were her mom”. She looked up and said “oh my gosh i had no idea thank you so much i really appreciate that” and i said “no problem i just didn't want anyone to steal her”. I walked away and felt very proud and I was just happy that the mom did not yell at me! It was a small experience but it was worth it!

A personal experience I’ve had about an unsung hero was with my little sister. Some time in the summer of 2023, I was having a terrible day. I had a really bad strep throat, I was vomiting every 30 minutes or so, my throat hurt every time I swallowed, and I wasn’t able to even fall asleep because of how bad it hurt. I was just laying in my bed, crying. My sister heard that I was crying and it made her sad. A few hours go by and I’m finally able to fall asleep. But, while I was asleep, my sister used paper, glue, tape, colored pencils, and scissors to make me something. She spent about 30 minutes crafting a little paper squishy fish. Once I woke up, I went downstairs to get a glass of water and then went right back to my room. Once I was in my room my sister asked my mom to get her a paper mask so she could go in my room. She then came up to my room and said in a small whisper, “I made this for you to feel better.” and handed me the paper squishy. This experience made my day way better. And later on, she told me that she did it because I’m her brother and she doesn’t want me to be sad.

One time a person was an unsung hero to me was when I got my yearbook but my unsung hero was someone I knew. So one day before school I was sitting outside my mom’s office because she had a meeting. I had my yearbook on one of the desks so I could have people sign it and the bell rang and I forgot about it and left it there. So I had to go to my locker and get my stuff and then go to homeroom. So after homeroom I went to my first period class and that’s when I remembered that I forgot it. So I worried about it during my first and second period classes because somebody could have stolen it or something else could have happened to it. So on my way back from P.E I stopped by my mom’s office to see if it was still there and she said she put it in her office. I think she acted like that because she cares about me. It made me feel thankful that she is my mom. Yes it doesn’t seem like a big deal now but it did then.

My unsung hero story is about this old couple that saved me from a possible hospital trip. So when I used to live in Florida, I was walking back from my friend’s house and someone’s backyard door was open, and the dog that was in the backyard started barking at me. I did not know what to do because Coco, the dog, was pretty big and he could attack me. The dog kept moving closer as it kept barking at me. I was too scared to turn and run even though my house was only down the cul de sac that I lived in. So after like 3 cars passed by and did nothing, this nice old couple stopped their car and got out. They asked me if this was my dog and I told them no. The old lady walked me to my house and she talked to my dad about it as I went to go watch T.V. My unsung hero is a couple that might just be dead now.

One time when I was getting food with my family, a girl had a seizure while waiting in line in front of us. She fell backwards and hit her head pretty hard. My dad stepped into action and quickly got her ice and called the paramedics . Other people noticed the scenario and took action too. They all comforted her until the paramedics came. Thankfully, they said that the girl was ok and they took her away in the ambulance. These Unsung Heroes made my life better because they showed how caring and patient people can be. They also showed that people have each other's backs when things don’t go as planned. I think that the thought of protectiveness motivated them to act heroically because when they saw someone not feeling great or something that’s not going to end well they tried to be as comforting as possible. This made me feel pretty good and relieved because the people inside the place didn’t just stand there and watch it all happen, they took action and saved a person's life.
