It was about 10 p.m.. We were walking along the river Thames when we met an old friend of us: Ernest Worthing. I had not seen him for a long time. How good-looking he was! I had always fancied him but I had had to move to Italy because of my mother's problems. We decided to have a hot chocolate. We went to Patterson's. There you can find the best cookies in the world! My sister left us because she had a lesson at school so we were completely alone. We started to remember our first meeting and our walks. He told me he had never got married. We left the cafè and  a heavy fog hovered us. Suddenly he embraced me fondly and we kissed: a long, passionate kiss I' will never forget. That gloomy day turned into the most beautiful day of my life.
