         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.  Students will write a journal response to <em>The Invisible String</em>.  In this journal piece, students will make the connection of who they feel connected to with their invisible string and why. <br>2.  Students will create a coping box for students who are dealing with the loss of a loved one,  This box will include tools to deal with feelings, a creative box to express emotions, books to read, and paper for journal writing with pre-made prompts. <br>3. Students will create a class voice thread.  In this voice thread, students will record their inquiry about losing a loved one and what phases people go through while also sharing their own experiences.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Students will analyze and interpret the meaning of <em>My Secret Bully</em>.  Students will participate in an book-head-heart. Students will share their book-head-heart when finished. <br>2. Students will create a Padlet describing the actions they would take to help someone stand up to their bully.  This will be shared with parents and families of the class. <br>3.  Students will create an anti-bullying campaign to present to the principal for the school to share with the school. Students will create this anti-bullying campaign on glogster.  Students will be able to add pictures, videos, and more to showcase their thinking. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.  Students will be apart of a book club discussion on <em>Germs Make Me Sick!.  </em>Students will discuss how germs affect us and how people get sick.  This discussion will lead into personal sickness history and discussions. <br> 2. Students will create a prevention campaign to reduce the risk of getting sick.  Students will chose their own modal.  <br>3.  Students will brainstorm ways they can showcase their campaign in the community.  For example, this could be through the school in other classrooms, their neighborhood, newspaper, or blog. </div>]]></description>
