The most important rule in my family is that we cannot tear each other down; we must help each other. This rule is unwritten like most of the rules in my family. Another unwritten rule that is that we all must treat each other with kindness and respect. I believe that these two rules are what keeps our family so close.

Our family was once a part of a group of semi-pro-Latino soccer players. We practiced with them for a year. During that time We learned how to play soccer much better than we did before we started practicing with them. During that time some of them went to Spain to play in a soccer team. But towards the end of my time practicing with them we began to realize something we had not realized when we started practicing. They would not let any female players practice with them. I didn't quite realize this until after we stopped coming. The main reason we stopped going is because my mom liked to play and they wouldn't let her play. So I would say that they were misogynistic and that is why we stopped coming. I am happy with my decisions through out the entire process.

Aunt Alexandria likes to keep score with the other tribes of Maycomb. "She never let a chance escape her to point out the shortcomings of other tribal groups to the greater glory of our own".

She also thinks that the Finches are the best tribe and is blind to their own shortcomings. "Atticus said, “Sister, when you stop to think about it, our generation’s practically the first in the Finch family not to marry its cousins. Would you say the Finches have an Incestuous Streak?” Aunty said no, that’s where we got our small hands and feet."

She does not have self-doubt. "When Aunt Alexandra went to school, self-doubt could not be found in any textbook, so she knew not its meaning"

She believes that the longer a family stays on one piece of land the finer they are. "but Aunt Alexandra was of the opinion, obliquely expressed, that the longer a family had been squatting on one patch of land the finer it was."

She wants Scout to become like a normal girl and stop acting like a boy. “We decided that it would be best for you to have some feminine influence. It won’t be many years, Jean Louise, before you become interested in clothes and boys—”
