And innocent plan leads him to his death in the end after he became to absorbed in his work. His mom was mentioned once, she's basically concerned for him because he starts to be stressed. And Mariana, the lady he knew in Paris, isn't really described in the story. Juan was just concerned for her safety over there.</em></div>]]></description>
