1. Some factors include if they are at the same place at the same time, arranged marriages, same college, same high school, meeting through mutual friends, work. Yes it does. Many of the responses had these things and many couples first met through mutual friends or from being in the same place at the same time.
2. If you look healthy, happy, height, muscles, body language, smile, eyes, where you come from, your language, personality, etc. This kind of lines up with the data because some people met at a workplace meaning they have similar interests and goals. People who have similar interests as you can make them seem more attractive.
3. Yes because many factors that influence attraction are physical features. Many men and women have different features compared to their peers that can make them seem more attractive to a person. Most woman look for more than physical attractiveness such as personality.
4. Looks and personality both play a huge role in attractiveness. You tend to love and attract to someone who has similar interest as you. Through the homework last night, we found that attractiveness comes a lot from passionate love and personality comes a lot from companionate love.

The wife is experiencing a decrease in passionate love, and this is normal over time. Her companionate love with her husband is the bond they have created over the years, and this should continue to be strong. She needs to be fair to her husband (equity) and tell him how she feels (self-disclosure). Once she opens up to her husband about how she feels then possible they can try to do more activities together, or even do marriage counseling.

There are variations of what is found attractive in cultures , but there are still general beauty standards that are found the same in every culture. For example men have found women attractive with an hourglass shape since the start of time. Culture and media succeed in finding what should be found attractive regardless of our general standard of what we naturally find attractive. Attractiveness also stems from personal preference. In different cultures there are also standards that are unique to their preference. For example lip stretching in Africa is considered attractive to men. It is seen as a sign of maturity. In Asian countries many women avoid the sun since being pale is seen as attractive. This stems from being tan used to mean that you were a poor peasant that worked outside.

Doctors Lucy Brown and Helen Fisher scanned the brains of young couples to try and detect physical evidence of love and attraction. They used an MRI scan of one's significant other and just an acquaintance. Wanted to figure out which part related to one's beloved. Found action in the significant others' part of brain that produces dopamine and also in the caudate nucleus (where past experiences and present combine). The caudate nucleus is used when you want something, for example to be with the loved one. Different brain systems for lust and love.
