This survey proved market demand on our compostable packages. We tested our prototype on potential customers and got feedback.

To test demand on our product we uploaded photo of out prototype in order to demonstrate future product and to evaluate potential customers willingness to buy out products and prepared summary report about market demand product is solving actual problem and need of the customer. People want to buy it.

This market demand analysis helped to understand the strong and weak points of our compostable package.  Reaction of potential customers provide background for future improvements of our prototype.

Evaluating team was familiar with compostable bags main disadvantage. They knew that right now compostable bags are not 100% transparent as regular plastic packages, they are slightly green, and they also agree that 100% transparent package is decisive for customers, so they suggested to make our packages visually as good as possible. They suggested to spend 90% of our time on creating and improving design, so the design should be perfect and also they suggested us to put all efforts to ensure regular and good marketing and to promote our items.

Evaluators also advised us to make several examinations and explorations to be sure that our products will do not have chemical reaction when it will contact with products and food. Otherwise it is already breaking legislation and laws and harming to the people health.

They suggested to start our business in Rovaniemi and after the success in Rovaniemi expand production to Finland, Europe and worldwide. But we also discussed that there is no 100% probability that everyone want to switch to environmentally friendly package even if the price is the same an even if the design is perfect, because it depends on the culture, status, people vision and perception. Some people simply do not want to change their habits, and they are afraid to try something new. So, then, probably, usage of compostable packages should be on legislative level. There should be mandatory regulation for all producers to create only compostable packages and mandatory regulation for all customers to use only compostable packages. But we think it is a future of production and already in few years we will see radical changes.
