and John Locke was an English philosopher and political theorist.
He was born in 1632 in Wrighton, Somerset and died in 1704.
His reputation was the founder of British empiricism and author of the first systematic exposition and the defense of political liberalism. He trained in medicine. And he also wrote a whole essay talking about human understanding he included human knowledge and experience. John Locke's political theory of government by the consent of the governed was to protect the three rights of life, liberty and estate. At the time 1652-1667, John Locke was a student and then lecturer at Christ Church, Oxford. He focused a lot on logic and classics.

One major thing/idea that John Locke argued very strongly about was the right to life, liberty, and property, that have a foundation independent of the laws of any particular society. Another major idea that John has was that the government is obligated to serve the people, by protecting life, liberty, and property.he also liked the idea of limiting power of the government. He really liked and agreed with representative government and a rule of law also. He was a political philosopher. He also wrote an essay on human understanding. He also wrote Two Treatises of Government. I think that John Locke influenced the government by when he stood up for his rights. He said that he strongly believed the right to life, liberty, and property, that might have had an impact on other peoples opinions. Some people might have been to afraid to stand up for their rights. But John Locke did it for them.
