In the book, the government burns their books so no one can ever question things or read. This causes the people in the story to be less aware of what is happening around them. Montag starts to realize how empty life is without everyone thinking for themselves he begins to search for the truth. This connects to our world today because a lot of people are on social media or technology instead of thinking for themselves. Just like in the book, sometimes we can let others or screens decide what we believe, and we can lose our ability to think freely.

A moment in Animal Farm that is similar to F451 is when the pigs start changing all the roles, and all the animals just go with the flow and believe them even when things clearly aren't Fair. For example, “all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others”. The animals are confused but don't question because they've been taught not to. That's similar to Fahrenheit 451 because the citizens have just gone their whole life not questioning anything because they don't know anything else besides what they've been taught.

She also says that if they die, they are taking the capital down with them. In Fahrenheit 451, Montag finds a group of rebels, and they start rebelling against the government in their own ways.

The regular citizens and animals don't question things because they're scared, and this shows how easy it is to lose Freedom when people don't have a mind of their own. Over time, characters like Montag and Snowball start to realize that something isn't right. In the end, both books remind us how dangerous it is to let others decide what we should believe.

Harrison Burgeron can compare to F451 because they are both living in a controlled society. Both Citizens have no idea what is really going on because they are brainwashed to think otherwise. They have lived their whole lives thinking nothing at all. They aren't allowed to have an opinion. In both stories, it takes one person to go against the flow, and it changes the society. In Harrison Burgeron, it is Harrison, and in F451, it is Montag.
