On our first day of classes, we explored various purple items to recognize the theme of our purple classroom. Through this activity, we learned how to scoop water using different tools. Some friends used spoons to scoop water and pour it into cups and egg shakers. We also practiced squeezing soaked pom-poms in the water, which helped improve our gripping skills.

This activity helps improve our fine motor skills by feeding Hey Hey through its tiny mouth using small and large pom-poms. It also enhances our friends' problem-solving skills as they figure out different ways to feed Hey Hey. Everyone enjoyed watching the pom-poms go into its tummy.

For this activity, all of our friends were curious to see what was inside the bin. After checking it with their eyes, they reached in to touch the purple water. Once they felt comfortable, they began playing with the different tools inside the bin. They used suction tools to squeeze out the purple water and cups to scoop it. Overall, they were engaged by the purple water activity and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our friends had a fun time familiarizing themselves with the people inside the classroom through the picture activity we had in class. They all looked at their pictures curiously and wanted to remove them from the wall. It was a good activity to see that our friends could recognize themselves just by looking at their pictures, and it also helped them become familiar with the people in class.

For our Friday class, we made a song book that includes all the people in the purple classroom. We sang it together, with a picture and name of each student.

Today's activity is a fun way to engage our senses by touching and squeezing the sponges. Our friends were observant, noticing how to use the sponges and how the water comes out of them. Some even used other tools to play with the water.

This activity includes painting on the wall with blue, red, and yellow paint. It was nice to see our friends expressing their creativity in their own ways. They loved painting and felt happy when they saw the results of their work. This activity also helped improve their fine motor skills eye-hand coordination and expression of their creativity.

Inside our purple room, we have various centers. First, we visited the "Dramatic Play Center." Here, we can engage in pretend play, becoming chefs by cooking and cutting fruits and vegetables, or we can be doctors, cleaners, and more. Next, we visited the "Blocks and Manipulatives Center," where my friends enjoyed building and stacking toys. Lastly, we visited the "Circle and Story Center," where we enjoyed singing and dancing and learned new things during story time.

Our sensory play today focused on the pleasant smell and rough texture of coffee grounds. It was a fun activity to share with our friends, as they learned to engage with the coffee grounds, despite feeling a bit intimidated by the texture at first. Their curiosity led them to eagerly explore, scoop, and touch the grounds. This activity allowed them to experience the texture with their tiny hands and get creative in their play.

They enjoyed this activity, as my friends loves to swipe the brush from side to side as they dipped it into the coffee grounds and painted on the white cartolina using their tiny hands. This activity is purposely for their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as they like following the brush from left to right.

During our exploration time, we played with an old telephone and my friends knew what to do when it comes to playing with it. They used their fingers to press the numbers, used their mouths to blabbered, and kept on calling their mama. It was nice to see my friends engage in this activity while demonstrating their knowledge of how to use the phone and attempting to communicate with it.

For our activity today, we used leaves as our paintbrushes. We dipped them into green paint and stamped them onto white cartolina, leaving leaf-shaped prints. Some of our friends enjoyed using other tools to paint, while others preferred to keep their hands clean. This activity was a great sensory experience, allowing us to explore different textures together.

One of our sensory activities today involved a bowl of water and a bowl of coffee grounds, along with tools like scoopers and droppers. The experiment encouraged our friends to use the tools to mix the coffee grounds and water in their own unique ways. Some friends used the droppers to squeeze water onto the coffee, causing it to form chunks, while others used the scoopers to add the coffee grounds to the water. It was wonderful to see how creative my friends were during experiment time.

Today, we had our school tour. We visited different places inside the school. First, we went to the pantry and walked towards the active play area where we could play with balls, ride slides, and swing. Next, we visited the colored rooms. We went to the yellow room and said hi to our friends who were at the door. After that, we visited the green room, which is the big kids' room. Lastly, we went to the blue room where all the pre-kinder children were playing inside. Our school tour was an adventure as we walked through different rooms and saw our other friends and teachers.

Today, we explored how to play with loose parts in water. We added gems, marker caps, ping-pong balls, and blocks to the water. Using scoopers and containers, we put all the loose parts inside and mixed all of them. My friends loved this activity, and it is not only fun but also helped improve our grip strength.

Today, our friend painted a carabao using the big brushes. We dipped the big brushes in the gray paint to color the drawing of a carabao. We got a little messy but it was still fun to brush the paint. This is a great activity to familiarize with colors.

Throwing the ball at the foam boards is fun because we use our strong arms to swing and throw the ball, causing the foam boards to fall. This activity allows us to move our arms and body, which helps to improve our gross motor skills.

During our Linggo ng Wika celebration, my friends painted a halo-halo craft, complete with ube ice cream on top. It was a learning experience for them to know about a colorful Filipino dessert while being creative using their tiny fingers.

Being able to play while creating ways to make learning fun is one of my advocacies, especially when it's an enjoyable and fun activity.

Not only do I love what I do, but we get to cultivate their love for learning as we play and explore different things around us! 🍎🌈

My friends had their mindfulness time, which we use as a transition to get ready for the next activity—our Circle Time. Doing this helps them understand how to follow routines and enjoy quiet moments with their friends.

This water activity allows our friends to practice their gross motor skills as they grab, reach, and scrub the fruits.

participated in a taste-testing activity using various fruits like mango, banana, apple, orange, and lemon. My friends were all excited about the activity; some were already seated, ready to taste and slice the fruits. They liked the mango the most and had fun peeling and tearing the oranges, which helped improve their fine motor skills and grip. Overall, the activity was fun for our little chefs as they loved eating the fruits after tasting and slicing them into tiny pieces.

We also liked building ice towers using the blue magnetic blocks.

We let our arctic friends slide on our ice towers too! Lastly, we liked scooping the rice with the spoons. This activity promotes exploration and problem-solving skills!

We also get practice conflict resolution by identifying what to do with the wet clothes and dry clothes.

They were all sorts of color blue, green, and yellow. These items were the ones we created using different tie dye methods. We learned where to put these article of clothing to our print-out of a little boy. Our friends knew where to put the socks and even tried to wear them! This activity gives further exposure to children about where we put certain clothes and what they are used for.

This activity sparked their curiosity and helped improve their hand-eye coordination as they followed the brushstrokes moving up, down, and side to side. It also supported the development of their fine motor-skills as they held and controlled the paintbrush.
