The induction we had at the Sainsbury Centre prompted a ton of questions and ideas for all of us, but they all kind of converged to the idea of perception.

The way an object is perceived varies from person to person due to factors such as demographic and positionality. Art is no different. Five drastically different characters. Two pieces of art. 

How would these five characters view the art pieces differently?

At the heart of this project, we wanted to convey the idea that there is no wrong way to perceive and understand art. Everybody's experience in the gallery will be different and that is perfectly fine.

The beauty of art is that the same piece can be different when seen with different eyes.

After confirming our plans, we were each assigned a character and went off to do with it whatever we wanted.

We quickly realised that a lot would have to be changed. Working separately made thing move along quicker but it also limited communication. Let's just say everybody had a slightly different idea about what was going on.

But it was no big deal. Half a day in the library, a ton of discussions, rewriting and editing later, we had our script! The idea came about quite early on in the process, and we felt that it would best express the message we wanted to convey.

We did so by character, and adjusted the dialogue to the video to ensure better results.
