Indications:
- peptide ulcer disease
- GORD
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (rare digestive disorder - too acid in stomach)
- H. pylori eradication (bacterial infection in stomach)
Signs & Symptoms:
- headache
- N+V
- diarrhoea
- abdo pain
- constipation
- flatulence
Drug - drug interactions:
- digoxin
- not on any drugs that interacts with it
Nursing considerations/how to prevent, identify/manage risks:
- avoid foods that may cause GI irriations (like spicy foods)
- avoid alcohol 
- allow 2hrs inbtw meds

MOA: inhibition of presynaptic and postsynaptic D2 receptors and sensitise GI smooth muscle to effects of acetylcholine by direct action.
Indications: Gastroesophageal reflux diseases, chemotherapy induced emesis

Signs & Symptoms: restlessness, drowsiness, fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, diarrhoea
Drug - drug interactions: Digoxin, acetaminophen, tetracycline, levodopa
Nursing considerations/how to prevent, identify/manage risks

- Monitor BP carefully during IV administration.
- Monitor diabetic patients, arrange for alteration in insulin dose.
- Ask patient to be alert and report immediately about the warning signs like, onset of restlessness, involuntary movements, facial grimacing, rigidity, or tremors.
- Monitor for possible hypernatremia and hypokalemia

(!!)hypoglycemia, weight gain, local reactions (to injection)

Drug - drug interactions:
Metformin: ok to have both in use although insulin may need to be adjusted
Optisulin: is a long acting, do not mix this with novorapid when injecting.

Short acting insulin, fast onset. 
Give immediately before meals
May be allergies or local reactions to injections- consider switching types of insulin. 
Monitor BGL, take BGL reading before administering
