         <description><![CDATA[<div>  This posed a great challenge to the Aztecs as anything they would build would subside due to the geography of the region. These pilings were surrounded by volcanic stone to add strength. The fact that their structures, built on top of these foundations, didn’t topple or sink bears testament to their amazing engineering skills. They used tools such as fire and basalt axes on wood. On stone they used tools made of flint, obsidian, granite, limestone, and quartzite. They also used the technology of the "plumb bob" to judge vertical accuracy</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nobody knows how they flourished. However, the last known olmec site was Tres Zapotes which declined in about 100 BCE for unknown reasons. Scholars believe it to be that they deliberately destroyed their capital.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Olmecs had a wide variety of resources to trade. Olmecs controlled the Gulf of Mexico so they were rich in jade, serpentine, basalt, and magnetite. Because they were in close contact with traders they influenced them on Olmec cultures which were passed on to other civilizations. Trade was a main reason why the Olmecs were known as the "mother" of culture in MesoAmerica.</div>]]></description>
