I decided upon the Fengardo Neue from the Velvetyne.fr website as, it more than just a generic body copy typeface. I’ve also tried experimenting how it looks like with a large body of text, I tried out different point sizes to size out the shape of different margins on the baseline grid in InDesign. I played with different kerning and leading to see how different glyphs adapt to each other in different letterforms. I also want to try out a different font of this typeface family for the commentary, as I feel it would better not to change the typeface within the book, while using a different typeface for the name of the book, or the front cover of the Anthology. I will also try out how this typeface will look with a different colored background, as in white text and dark colored background, as in the black, but also might try out different colors as well. I decided that making them clean and simple with a bit of mocking up looked better, than having blocks of text with the images next to them, this gives them more power, and gives the viewer more attention, makes it more attentive to details. Also, I feel like the projects speak for themselves and no one typeface would go with all the projects, or descript them in a way that would a generic typeface, it would away the attention the work is getting. The front cover of the portfolio carries a typeface I’ve used for my description pages, for me, it looks cleaner to keep the text away on the other page. As all my project match a theme, I tried to spread out the similar looking project in order to keep the flow of the pages. I’m not sure about numbering the pages, that contain text, and also keeping the mockup back group white in order to keep with the visual language that goes with the rest of the physical portfolio. I wanted to create a CV that would mimics a menu, a landscape menu with the all the information, I’m yet to add icons for certain elements on the information pages. I’ve also played around with a variety of the different colors, as colors is a main element of my CV as well.
