It also shows the viewer what happens after someone is arrested on scene for driving impaired. An officer during the video says he thought that impaired driving was getting better and that less people were doing it, but he was surprised by the numbers not exactly going away.

Caught Drinking and Driving in Canada?

The video below highlights how Canada handles drunk-driving legislation, and how it is different from other countries. It explains that drunk-driving in Canada is a federal charge under the Criminal Code. It also talks about a huge misunderstanding that people think it is under the Highway Traffic Act. The difference between the two are if you are caught drunk-driving in any province the charges are the same, but if you're caught speeding for example in one province versus another, the charges could be different.

In this longer, but super informative video, CBC's The National introduces the problems Canada was going to face, and are now facing, with the legalization of marijuana. The video tries to answer "How High is Too High to Drive?" and comes up with a scientific answer of five nano-grams per millilitre of blood. They then dive into how this is a problematic measurement because of different tolerance levels from consumer to consumer. They conclude that despite the legal measurement of impairment for marijuana that it is really a lot more gray than that.

This infographic lays out important facts and statistics about driving drug-impaired in Canada. It is related to impaired driving and relevant to consumers of this padlet because sometimes people are not always aware of true numbers behind a problem, and may assume it is not big deal. The Government of Canada clearly created this infographic to highlight the most severe and shock-inducing statistics to make it known the severity of the issue.

In this present day a lot of the shift in impaired driving is to focus on what is happening when drivers consume drugs before getting behind the wheel, but a lot of the problem still exists by drivers drinking before driving.
