1. I used an anxious tone in my manga, due to the fact that in the text there was a lot of anxiety when Taro told Katsuyori that Oda's army was coming. "There are 15-20 people for everyone of us." (Haugaard 222)
2. In the comic I also chose to incorporate imagery like how people may have looked like, "The old man frowned as the servants..." (Haugaard 220) This shows like their expressions and how they could have been feeling.
3. I used the mood in my comic when Taro said, "All my hopes made me step so lightheartedly..." (Haugaard 222). This conveys to the audience the uncertainty of what Taro is doing, (delivering messages.)

They were usually built of wood and stone, with pagoda-style roofs, and started as military structures. They then evolved into permanent residences where many people and servants lived. The castles were commonly built on hills or mountains, to give the daimyos a better view of their territory amidst the civil wars. This is why I placed a castle on a hill in the background of my Manga.

Samurais would put this on the top of their head and sometimes shave around it. In Sengoku Japan, hats were another way of showing status. Eboshi hats, tall hats made of black fabric, were open to all men (not women). Nae-eboshi hats were floppy and for peasants only, while Tate-eboshi were for nobles, and were tall, but needed a motodori bun to stay on. Kasa hats were classically worn by travelers, and were wide and made of straw. Not only do all the characters in my Manga have hairstyles relating to their class, but the ninja is wearing a Kasa hat, symbolizing that he is on a journey.
