Two years ago we faced a pandemic which caused a rise in money. As the pandemic grew and many people got sick  unemployment failed to rise and inflation rose. Places like Turkey, and Israel are facing inflation right now.  Inflation Can raise cost of living, short term growth, increases economic inequality etc. People that are facing and getting hurt my inflation are poor people and fixed incomes.

Inflation was a significant role and caused problems in Rome and for Romans as well. After the Romans were taken over by inflation, "the borders of the empire were open for the Huns, Goths, and Vandals to take what they wanted."  After Tiberius became emperor when the empire was growing, earlier empires and Tiberius helped keep the inflation in check. Money supply had increased and increased with trade, "Taxes were also kept low: each province only paid a one percent wealth tax and a flat tax on all adults." It seems that this is a good match because Rome had a cost push inflation which means that the cost went up and the goal is about decent work and economic growth. This SDG I think really is focused on Goal 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable which could have helped Rome by making sure everyone had an important job and making sure taxes and/or wages were the same. I think if wages were the same and taxes were paid or at least where people could actually afford to pay then Rome would still have enough to give everyone food and probably more balance in the community. If #11 would be done in Rome, Romans might actually be able to do #12: Ensure sustainable consumption and
