Welcome to The Lock-Up, Tokyo’s infamous prison-themed restaurant.

The experience starts at the door, where you’re “arrested” by staff and thrown into a jail cell that functions as your dining area. Drinks are served in syringes. The food comes with creepy surprises—like meatballs that “bleed” when you cut into them.

But the real fun happens when the lights are turned off, alarms sound, and the restaurant goes into full haunted house mode. Zombies, mad scientists, and other horror-movie nightmares walk around
