At the very start, I took a look at "Raindrop Prelude" by Chopin as a resource to help me figure out the aspect of a romantic classical piece and and what makes a romantic classical piece, romantic. I split Chopin's piece into 3 sections, A, B and C and looked/listened to the form and style of each section carefully.

Romantic pieces usually follows a theme and an idea or event and example is "Raindrop Prelude" which is base on the idea of a rainstorm. At the beginning, it was soft and slow with repetitive keys, few dominant chords which are played in higher keys than the rest, showing the start where the day is clear. For section B, the climax and middle, Chopin used a lot more decresendo, the notes became louder and faster and unlike the beginning, the notes and keys were played in a lower tone and only had one dominant chord but the notes were still quite repetitive. The ending is different from the first 2 sections, it gradually gets softer signaling the rainstorm coming to an end then section A was repeated.

I decided to create my piece base on a sunrise and sunset. Before the sunrise, the air is cool and calm but after it rise, the air becomes hot and hectic but as the day goes by people become use to the heat and it gets calmer and when the day is coming to an end and the sun starts to set, the sky becomes a pretty and calm color which gives off the calm vibe and make everyone relax because it signals and end of a busy day.

I didn't know where to place notes which will create a good contrast between the left and right hand so they don't clash with each other.
Solution: I asked for help and was showed how to figure it out and had help in figuring out the left hand.

Techniques which were used

Looking at Chopin's piece, I learned many techniques which I brought over to my piece and used it to create my piece. Techniques such as, repetition, having a dominant chord and crescendo and decresendo. In my piece, I had sections which repeated making a constant harmony showing or trying to portray a mood. I used crescendo and decrescendo to show climax as well as portray emotion or mood, like when the rainstorm starts, the notes will slowly get lower which creates a nice transition from section to section.
