From Hadith Jibril, I learned that Islam is built on three foundations: Islam, Iman, and Ihsan. Islam teaches me to perform acts of worship like prayer, fasting, zakat, and hajj. Iman strengthens my belief in Allah, angels, books, prophets, the Hereafter, and qada’ and qadar. Ihsan reminds me to worship sincerely, knowing that Allah always sees me.

I can apply this in my life by praying on time, accepting Allah’s decree with patience, and doing good deeds sincerely without expecting praise from others. This hadith encourages me to strengthen my faith and prepare for the Hereafter.

The six pillars of Īmān (faith) are the foundations of a Muslim’s belief. A believer must first have faith in Allah, the one and only Creator who has no partners and is worthy of all worship. Secondly, Muslims believe in angels, created from light, who carry out Allah’s commands without error, such as Jibrīl who delivered revelation. The third pillar is belief in the divine books sent to various prophets for guidance, including the Tawrāt, Zabūr, Injīl, and finally the Qur’ān, which is the last and preserved revelation. The fourth pillar is belief in prophets and messengers, from Adam to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, all of whom taught people to worship Allah alone. The fifth is belief in the Day of Judgment, when everyone will be resurrected, held accountable for their deeds, and rewarded with Paradise or punished with Hell. Lastly, Muslims believe in Qadar (Divine Decree), meaning that everything happens by Allah’s knowledge and will, though humans are given free will within His plan. Together, these six pillars shape the faith and guide the actions of every Muslim.

Belief in the Hereafter (Ākhirah) means having faith that life does not end with death. Every person will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment, where all deeds, good or bad, will be weighed. The righteous will be rewarded with Paradise (Jannah), while those who rejected faith and did evil will face Hell (Jahannam). Believing in the Hereafter reminds Muslims to live responsibly, do good deeds, avoid sins, and prepare for eternal life after death. It gives meaning, hope, and purpose to our actions in this world.

From the belief in Qadā’ and Qadar, I learn that everything in life happens according to Allah’s perfect plan and wisdom. This makes me more patient when facing difficulties and more grateful when enjoying blessings. I also realize that even though Allah has already decreed everything, I still have free will to make choices and must be responsible for my actions. This teaches me to always strive to do good, avoid sins, and trust Allah’s plan, because He knows what is best for me.
