After WWII China immediately broke out into a civil war. This had started with an inconsistent conflict with the Qing Dynasty and the nationalist people of China in 1911. This had established the Republic of China and the end to the imperial system. This was only the beginning of the 1949 revolution soon to come. Although the Chinese Republic finally was able to take charge in government it soon crumbled because of the failing of being able to unify the country instead creating a tight grip with certain beliefs. This created war lords.

In May of 1996 a cultural revolution had been led by Mao Zedong. They had started putting up propaganda posters. These posters were filled with Chinese Communist ideologies. The name of "The Cultural Revolution" was given to the attempt by Mao Zedong to reassert his beliefs into China. All art was about communism. These were all attempts to purge china of its impurities. This also includes a campaign he was conducting to revive revolutionary spirit.

Mao Zedong had so much rule over the people he was sent straight to a god-like status. He had posters of propaganda ever since the 1940s. On the posters he would be depicted as happy. With an outstretched arm with messages sometimes with other leaders. like Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Friedrich Engels, and Karl Marx. There were threats on these posters like on the one above. The intensity of people thinking of his portrayal was unparalleled.

People in the Republic of China (PRC) was established to make china a one-party state. The PRC was a long government process in China that led to the fall of Chinese Communism in 1949.This had thus ended the rain of communism in China.
