This piece set the stage for the rest of the information from the digital playground. It gave the expectations that society sets for woman. Although the rest of the pieces are about Masculinity

, this shows how instead of being to lead society and become a figure of power, woman are expected to sit back and let men make the decisions and such. Although this isn't what the book or the assignment is about, it gives us the other side to the argument that Masculinity is a toxic word.

As Girl gave us an introduction into the expectations or mold that society lays upon girls, Boy gives us the main idea that the expectation that men should be "manly" is only putting a mask on who a person really is. It is another list but this time one of things that men are expected to do to be considered masculine and excepted. The mains ideas consist of being without emotion and power hungry.

This TedTalk explores the idea that society really gives us a mold to fit into when it comes to our gender and how we portray it. Justin talks about how he's always played very masculine roles as an actor, he talks about how he's always had to be someone that he wasn't in order to appeal to the world. He also brings up the point that although we don't have to get rid of all masculine qualities that are pushed upon us, but we should also embrace the feminine qualities too.

This documentary goes into detail of how the ideas of being masculine have negatively effected men and boys. It explains how the phrase, "Be a Man" is really destructive as it leads to making boys do things and put on a mask making them create facades that can linger in their lives up until adulthood and beyond. It shows how masculinity is a rejection of all feminine qualities. It showed how serious these issues are by going into interviews with kids that have shaped themselves to fit society's role of masculinity in order to be excepted by their peers.
