The bumps are the lack or abundance of the people in the age ranges. This can be caused by factors such as: immigration, fertility, war, economy, and morality. But for Guyana specifically, it is caused by the economy and war. Because Guyana had just earned their independence, their economy wasn't doing spectacular and many people (men) had died. However they had just won the war so everyone was happy and there was a huge baby boom.
